Good but could use some improvement to be 5 stars

Overall, it's a good app. It gives immediate feedback on the screen my eyes are supposed to be for sight reading where I'm training my eyes, not my ears. The statistics are very good to see where I need more work. The settings for each type of exercise are excellent: ranges of notes, types of chords, types of clefs, white notes and black notes, etc. The one area that I do not like is the amount of time I spend tweaking the settings between exercises so I can focus on certain areas. It can be quite tedieous going through them all only to go back and do the same things again the next day. I would really like to see some way to save the current settings as a preset and then recall it quickly. A few other peaves: the last question of the exercise does not give me enough time to see what I did wrong before showing the results and there is no way to focus on just one or two types of exercies (notes, intervals, or chords) so I can focus on certain problem areas. I also sent an email to support address with the same feedback.

Meh

All I wanted was a sight reading game that plays the App when you get it right. This one plays the App when it comes up. I found myself relying on the sounds, which doesn’t make me a better sight reader. For $20 you should get more options.

this software is the best one that is on the mac app store

you can use your real keyboard MIDI, you can learn to read single notes, intervals, and all chords and their inventions!!!!
