1. In “challenge” mode, students work in the opposite direction by analyzing the underlying grammar and correctly identifying parts of speech: articles, nouns, verbs, adjectives and prepositions.
2. Guided by Common Core standards, Grow Grammar was developed for elementary and middle school students, and provides a fresh contemporary approach to a traditional subject.
3. Level 1: Students build sentences with articles, nouns, pronouns and verbs in the present tense.
4. Grow Grammar has four levels for students to work through, each more challenging than the last.
5. Level 4: Students build sentences that incorporate adverbs and progressive verb tenses.
6. Level 2: Students expand their sentences with adjectives, direct objects, and past and future verb tenses.
7. Watch kids grow a firm grasp of the English language through working their grammar muscles in a fun and healthy way by constructing and deconstructing sentences.
8. In “create” mode, students build their own sentences using a dynamic, grammar-based tree structure.
9. With each successive level, students grapple with increasingly complex grammatical structures and more advanced vocabulary.
10. Level 3: Students add prepositional phrases to both noun phrases and verb phrases.
11. Students are motivated by the opportunity of moving up a level and by expressing themselves creatively in the context of their peers.
