2. • In the exercise unit the amino acids, peptides or proteins will be arranged randomly and can be assigned to a corresponding property (e.g. the one or three letter codes of the amino acids or a biological function of proteins etc.) by drag and drop.
3. • Learn and practice the molecular structures and biological features of the 20 proteinogenic amino acids, 15 selected peptides and 15 important proteins.
4. • Learn and practice the 3D structure, the place of formation and the biological function of the following proteins: Hemoglobin, Myoglobin, Collagen, Elastin, Plasma fibronectin, Human serum albumin, Fibrinogen, Transferrin, Calmodulin, Cadherin, Ferritin, Immunglobulin, α-Keratin, Thrombin, Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor.
5. • Learn and practice the place of formation, classification and biological function of the following peptides: Glutathione, Ocytocin, Vasopressin, Insulin, Glucagon, Substanz P, α-Amanitin, Bradykinin, β-Endorphin, Angiotensine II, Somatostatin, Gastrin, Met-enkephalin, Leu-enkephalin, Secretin.
6. • Learn and practice the 2D structures, the one and three letter codes, the breakdown products and the chemical properties of the 20 proteinogenic amino acids.
7. • As amino acid features you can select the one or three letter code, the initial compound of the synthesis, the breakdown product, the chemical properties and the name of the amino acid.
8. • You can select the length, the place of formation, the classification, the biological function and the name of the peptide as peptide features.
9. • The following information is provided in the learning unit: The discoverers, as well as the 2D structures, the initial compounds of synthesis and the breakdown compounds of the 20 proteinogenic amino acids.
10. • As protein features you can select the place of formation, classification, biological function and name of the protein.
11. • You can display the structural formula of the amino acid, the sequence of the peptide or the 3D structure of the protein or their names.
