3. All areas within the region are covered, including Coldingham, Coldstream, Duns, Eyemouth, Galashields, Hawick, Innerleithen, Jedburgh, Kelso, Lauder, Melrose, Peebles, Selkirk and St Boswells.

4. In fact there are around 4,000 places of interest viewable within the App including Melrose Abbey, Kailzie Gardens, Floors Castle and Culter Fell.

5. This version, for the Scottish Borders, locates places in and around this area in the south of Scotland.

6. It's simple to use - you just point and go! It includes a choice of Map or Satellite Image in view and a Search function to help locate things.

7. It reaches a rectangle stretching towards the coast at Dunbar at its northern most edge and south to Langholm inland.

8. Once downloaded no wi-fi or cellular network is necessary, so you can use when out and about in the Borders, even when there is no or poor signal coverage.

9. Then west past Biggar in land to the coast at Berwick upon Tweed.
