1. To perform a firmware upgrade, the firmware package has to be downloaded from the support web site and stored into a USB mass storage device (USB pen drive or HDD); then the USB mass storage device must be inserted into the M series mixer unit.
2. The MixUpdate app communicates with the M series mixer via WiFi; it shows version numbers for both the current firmware package and the one on USB mass storage, and guides the user through the firmware update process.
3. The binary package data is not stored on the iPad, or transferred via WiFi, but rather copied from the USB key connected to the M series mixer into the mixer unit directly.
4. MixUpdate is an utility app for managing remotely firmware updates on the M series digital mixers by RCF.
