1. To understand modes requires knowledge of musical scales (check the App ‘Diatonic Scale’).
2. Similar to musical scales, a mode is a sequence of the notes but each degree (Major scale) of the note can be used as a tonic.
3. Musical modes constitute a huge area and perhaps take lifetime to learn.
4. The Ionian (Major scale) and Aeolian (natural minor scale) are the most famous modes of all.
5. The App ‘Circle of 5ths Pro’ or ‘Circle of 5ths Master’ is highly recommended for understanding modes which have more than 7 sharps & 7 flats.
6. Depending on the musical style, modes can be used in various ways.
