1. The Memorial Site received financial support for this project from the Stiftung Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft (EVZ, Foundation for Remembrance, Responsibility and Future), the Bavarian Sparkassenstiftung Foundation, the Stiftung Bildung & Wissenschaft (Education & Science Foundation) of the Sparkasse Dachau, and the Stiftung Bayerische Gedenkstätten (Bavarian Memorial Sites Foundation).

2. This technology allows us to create a link between drawings and paintings that deal with the history of Dachau Concentration Camp and the actual grounds of the Memorial Site.

3. ARt was developed by the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site in collaboration with startup company ZAUBAR.

4. The app-guided tour takes in 22 images in the Memorial Site grounds and lasts about an hour.

5. We recommend you download the app onto a smartphone or tablet before your visit to the Memorial Site.

6. ARt is the short name for the "Dachau Concentration Camp in Drawings and Paintings.

7. They explain what is depicted in the images – sometimes helped by recollections from other former prisoners.

8. The app also contains extracts from graphic novels created by the descendants of prisoners and other artists.

9. The images are described here using alternative texts.

10. Audio clips provide additional information.
