This game has some of the best graphics that you can find on an iPhone. It is truly a piece of art within a game, not to mention it having a great story. Now, I really do like the look of this game, yet I can not come to enjoy the gameplay. Instead of being able to interact and desire the fate of my characters through strategic moves, the characters seem to play themselves with not interaction with the exception of activating a power every few moves. Also, the stamina bar seems to refill at such a sluggish rate, that I tend to forget the story that occurred previously due to having to wait for what seems like decades to beat a level. Sure, the game needs to last longer. However, I can not truly enjoy it when the max I can play is limited so greatly. This issue is with many games, I will say, and several of them have been remedied. If that, along with more involvement in the game, was to be implemented, this game would be an absolute gem and I would spend much more time enjoying it, not waiting to play. (Excuse the long sentence)

I keep coming back to this game multiple times a day, desperately trying to figure out the game play. I'm am NOT a fan at all of turn-based RPGs. At all. And that's what this game is.. But it goes further (in a bad direction than that); there's literally an "Auto" button you can toggle on and off to have the character fight completely automatically. As if turn based games aren't boring enough.. Now the default option is to watch them fight without any input from the user? I just don't understand... I love love love the artwork and the characters and the tarot cards, ankhs, pentagrams and everything else - but the game play is a real downer for me. The only positive I have on that part is that at least the game looks amazing since that's all you'll be doing - watching and not playing. And also the music... The music is really "analog, fighter 64-Bit style".. Which is not cohesive at all with the general aesthetic of the game. It should be more ethereal and spooky. Even a 64 bit version of spooky would be better (but still not the best choice). It's like they had two people with different ideas for a game and just mashed 2 completely different ideas together... Change the music and make the game something you can actually play instead of just watch and it would be my favorite game ever!! Only 2 stars because the game is beautiful.

this app is an extremely fun game for someone that likes a good story and a good game style. The animation is smooth and all the characters are so lovable, there are so many levels as well but the only flaws in the game are the character level ups In where you have a five star character you have to slave over so much time just to get what you need, also there has to be an easier way to get new characters to, not just the 30 Jem pocket card thing you can choose. Either way this game is really fun and I recommend it to people who are looking for some adventure games

Let’s get this out of the way: the game is gorgeous. The visuals, the music, everything is very pleasing to senses. HOWEVER, what this game lacks is actual good gameplay. The turn based combat has been done well numerous times before, but it just doesn’t quite satisfy in this app. It feels very automated, which, in a turn based rpg, is usually not a good thing.
