If you want to install and use the Discord app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Discord for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Discord for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Discord in the search bar and press Search. Click on Discord application icon. A window of Discord on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Discord icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Discord for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Discord for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download Andriod, Iphone

Free On iTunes
Download APK

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

  • The app isnt there, but my phone thinks it IS there?

    By WaferPom
So Discord generally seems like a good app to me, except for one problem that just kinda... Happened? Theres a Japanese game app i have that just loves to redownload itself in the app if you have too much storage (i dont know why, and i doubt it can interfere with the Discord app), and so i had to go through my phone and delete a bunch of stuff. The app also likes to reset itself (and its downloading progress) and so i redownloaded Discord, but... It was deleted again, or i thought. Once i got the app to download itself i did do a few things on it but then it reset, and ive taken up enough storage so that it tries to constantly download itself while im in the app, but Discord was deleted. My friend recently messaged me saying they sent me a friend request on Discord, but when i went to go get it back it didnt give me the option to download it again, instead it just has the "open" button... Which does nothing if i tap it, it wont appear on my home screen, and in storage i cant offload or delete Discord to try to redownload it afterwards, offloading does nothing and "deleting" makes it dissapear for a second but then just reappears, and the app icon is blank for some reason The thing i mostly want to know is if this may have been a problem with the app, app store, or something else, and if someone here can help me fix it so i can get back on discord. Thanks!
  • One of the worst iOS App experiences I’ve ever had

    By iBenlo
I love discord, my friends and I use it as our main means of communication. However, that means I expect a lot out of this app, and when I need to message a friend or join a voice call I expect the app to work. Sadly, the majority of the time it just doesn’t. Even with a fairly new iPhone 7, which has no issues anywhere else, discord finds a way to make me fear my phone is broken only to find out it’s just the app not recognizing my headphones or crashing for the umpteenth time. At times I try to open the app just to have it crash multiple, and I stress MULTIPLE, times before I’m able to finally establish a connection with our server. Not to mention crashes once the app has actually opened; good luck trying to open a gif or send a photo from a bit far back in your photo album. The weirdest by far is the headphone issue. I for the longest time thought it was on my end, I went through three separate pairs of earbuds trying to get them to work—even trying an older pair with an auxiliary to lightning adapter—only to find that once I tested them in any app other than discord they worked fine. I want to love this app. Like I said, I love discord itself, the Mac version is wonderful, but for the love of Swift 3.0 I’ve never had such a horrible app experience with a platform I love so much. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the iOS version of discord; at least until some major bug fixes have been implemented.
  • Pokémon go live map

    By Cinderellacjh
I enjoyed every part of Discord and the live alpha map until the servers became overwhelmed once the monthly community events began and we went for at least two months without using a service we had paid for-the live map whatever you would call it. I have not checked back to see if it’s been built back up or if they were able to meet the capacity of players. And that’s where everything fell behind. I’m not sure The status now, they had lots of people paying 1499 a month and offered a discount month for it to be free which was very kind and professional and necessary. I still have not looked back into it because Niantic has bitten off a little bit more than it can chew with the amount of people that love and use that app. Thank you I would really like to be able to use it again but I don’t know yet that it has been returned to function. I will say there are very intelligent and kind people that are working for discord and try their best to keep up with what they have been given. Hopefully whoever supports the hardware makes sure those people are treated quite well. I plan on taking a look into it again one day but right now there are so many new things going on it’s still attracting a little bit more traffic than it can handle. I’m dictating so blame Siri if this makes absolutely no sense. CJPVB
  • Discord is fine but buggy.

    By Angel Matos.
Discord is a great app for communication and stuff for other purposes/uses. Although, lately I spotted some issued bugs on discord. Lately, it has keep crashing for me, and won’t let me back on. Sometimes when I go fast in roles or chats or something. It crashes like nothing, and then I’m stuck outside of the app and no available to join back in, regarding this issue it made me mad. But this app does have it’s benefits. Such as great communication, and things as I said before. Therefore, the reason why I have a 3 Star. Mainly because the bugs are highly repetitive and annoying. I generally find discord great, but the app tends to crash too often and not load on back often. Which also makes me unable to communicate with other friends or people. It’s bad for IOS for some reason. That ticks me off when I see the same things not be fixed or repeating keep coming back and start to annoy me. As I write this, I even TRY to get back on, but it won’t let me and I crash, every time I get a update from discord, I get more crashes/bugs for some apparent reason in the IOS version of discord. Regarding the fact atm, I can’t even go back on discord. Discord does tick me off in many ways. Such as, the crashing, the multiple bugs, and the community itself sometimes. I would like to get noticed about this issue and others that people are currently experiencing in the IOS version of discord. - Some random guy on the internet.

    By JosieKates23
After so many years of not having an emote button iOS has finally been blessed with one. It runs smoothly and makes picking emotes so much easier. I’m very happy we finally have it.
