  • Ultimately a Fantastic Company

    By sigriddenijs (Pcmac user)

this app keeps on improving their company as it grows and grows with its features and its recipes. Also, now you may purchase it’s seasonings and products to cook special meals right on their site. This company has had its ups and downs. However, this app REALLY listens to its customers to make it a better experience for ALL of its customers. There is no other food delivery service to compare to this app! Our family has tried them all. We thought in the beginning when this app first came out they were the BEST. Then the company slightly (only slightly) went down on their standards. We then started to try other companies out while still using this app. We even tried just using other companies when we came to a point when we had too much food. After two months we went right back to this app and tried a new approach. We started to publish pictures of the quality of their recipes when they were fantastic and when they were totally below par. We also contacted representatives and informed them of what we experienced. Furthermore, we explained how we would rather have our recipes. This was mainly the bok choy and the meat pieces we were receiving. They advised us to look at what to look for and changed the way they use their left over pieces of meat, which surprised us. We now thoroughly enjoy our experiences with this app. Fantastic Company that listens to our needs as humans that love fantastic dishes with minimal cooking.
  • Best thing since Kool Aid

    By JTrav09 (Pcmac user)

I’ve tried two other meal kit companies and by far, this app is my favorite. The meals are easy to make and are really delicious!! I’ve also had so many different types of food that I’ve enjoyed. My goal in 2018 is trying to eat better and this app definitely has assisted with that. I also decided a while back to reduce how much meat I eat, but I didn’t think I would find too many vegetarian meals I would like. Mannnnnn....listen hear!! this app vegetarian meals are my favorite and they are actually filling. However, I do love the chicken. It’s juicy and taste great regardless how it’s cooked. On the other hand, there are a few things I don’t like about this app. First, they seem to force certain types of food in your meal. When I first became a customer, I ate potatoes like every week. I had to take a break for like two weeks bc I was getting tired of potatoes with or in almost all of my meals. Now it’s snow peas, but that’s not a big deal; I just throw them a way. Snow peas don’t make or break your meal. The second thing I don’t like is the chicken portion size; especially when it’s already chopped up. I ran out of chicken for one of my taco/wrap meals before. Last, is the price. $60 for three meals a week is sometimes too much for me. Nevertheless, I’ll still give them a five because I can’t give them 4.5 stars.

So I usually just cook from the recipe cards, but for some reason I couldn't find the one for the recipe I wanted to make (I have about a 3" stack of recipe cards from this app because I thought I would end the service soon after beginning). Needless to say I haven't ended it, but I still have all the recipes. With the app, however, I was able to pull up the missing recipe and cook away. In addition, the app is very helpful in planning my menu and with skipping weeks where I know I won't be able to take full advantage of the service. Overall, I'm very pleased with this app. The food is fresh, the recipes are delicious, and although the portions are generous, the portion control has also helped me to control my weight. I went out to dinner with my wife not long ago and 70 bucks later with bland food, I was wishing we had just come home and had this app.
  • Weight Watchers meal plan

    By 84woodywagoneer (Pcmac user)

My wife and I are trying to make healthier lifestyle changes, and or meals is one of the more drastic changes we are focusing on. We signed up for the weight watchers meal plan for two, with two meals per week. So far we have been relatively satisfied with the meals. They taste good and don’t take long to prepare when compared to other meal delivery services. The only complaint I have, as with other meal delivery services, is we’d like to have options for more meals per week, especially with the weight watchers meal plan. I feel that having more meals per week options would help us stay on track with healthier eating. The other complaint I have is some meals don’t have a lot of substance, which left us still quite hungry. For example, we got the grilled chicken with apple and kale salad ( I can’t remember the exact name), and we got one chicken breast for two people. We just wish there was a little more chicken; however, I understand WW focuses on portion control, but the portion still felt a bit small for two people. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this app for the ease and faster prep time than other meal delivery services, and also recommend the WW meal plan since it shows you the number of points for each meal. Hopefully this app will increase the number of days the WW meal plan is offered, or offer both a 2 and 4 meal per week plan.
