  • Can't remove ads!

    By iphonereviewer#2 (Pcmac user)

App listing says there is an IAP to remove the ads for $1.99, but in the app it says "no longer available". Very unethical, and deleted.
  • Very nice free earthquake app

    By InfoSports (Pcmac user)

With the this app app I can set it to notify me if an the app occurred within a selectable distance around me as well as being able to set the magnitude level of the the app. Initially I set it to all earthquakes of magnitude 1 or greater to verify that the notifications were working. I got a notification in less than 30 minutes. The notification came with a distinctive audio alert so as to easily discern that it was an the app notification. Also there is a tsunami alert capability such that if an the app is judged to be capable of creating a tsunami then I would get notified of those regardless of the range or magnitude setting. The app also has a list capability showing all earthquakes occurrences in the last 24 hours. There is a unique slider at the top of the list such that I can quickly filter the list to earthquakes of a certain magnitude or greater. This is the only app I have seen that lets me quickly filter the the app list to precise magnitude level. Other apps I've seen are more general, e.g. any quake greater than magnitude 5. the app time listings are automatically adjusted for my local time zone. Most apps I've seen display the the app occurence in GMT time. Also, earthquakes can be displayed as distance and bearing from my location. So I can easily sort the list by distance so that I can see earthquakes that are close to me. In summary this app is a very nice and free the app app.
  • App Versions, updating

By Gold Coast Weather Spotter (Pcmac user)

Good App works pretty well but today there was a 5.3 the app in Southern California ( date: 04-05-2018). It seemed the update was a bit slow but the 5.3 did show up on the page of daily Earthquakes. I’m not sure why the update was so slow. Also would you consider doing an Android version of this app if possible.
  • Works Great very basic and easy to use...

    By HerbKS (Pcmac user)

App was hard to find at first (keyword earth quake wasn't showing it but USGS did) App functions great and is customizable on distance and magnitude alerts. On the Santas list the ability to change the sound to something more alert (louder) if needed. Easy to use!
