What is VR ONE Cinema? The ZEISS VR ONE Cinema app provides an immersive movie-watching experience in a virtual reality environment. It allows users to watch their MP4 movies from their phone's camera roll or via iTunes file sharing. Lots of potential

Obviously this is a new technology, and as such this app is a bit buggy. HOWEVER, the user interface for this app is a fantastic idea. Just turn your view to hover over a button. Brilliant! The tracking/accelerometer is not working very well, and sometimes movies play upside down. But all the same, I'm looking forward to future updates. A couple suggestions: add a full screen mode in the media player, and if there's no easier way to fix the movie/picture orientation, just add a button to flip the image. With a little smoothing out, this app could be a huge hit when Cardboard/Stereoscopic tech goes mainstream (right about when the Oculus and Vive come out next year).
Nice but a bit hard to use.

I like the idea of a "virtual cinema". In this version there are other movie goers present in the cinema which adds to the experience. That being said, the app is pretty clunky to navigate. While it is true that you can view videos from your camera roll, there are no thumbnail views, so it is trial and error to pick the video you want to see. In addition there does seem to be some performance/framerate and screen formatting issues that other cinema apps don't exhibit (To be fair, I am using the iPhone 6 plus which the the app one doesn't support). All in all, thumbnail views would make this app a whole lot enjoyable to use.

This app isn't bad for the most part, but is finicky about what files it will play, and requires transferring them via iTunes. The theatre could do to get a good bit darker while playing video as well. The UI on the other hand is quite inspired, using the exit door to open the menu felt easy and weirdly natural. Overall, it's not a bad the app video player, but it could use some work. I would STRONGLY recommend Mobile the app Station over this. It's a premium app, but I promise you'll WANT to give them money after you try it out. Light years ahead of other the app video viewers.
Almost perfect, just need one more button

I can’t for the life of me turn my reticle off when trying to watch a movie. If you are tech savvy(and patient) then you can get this to work every time. The movies have to be mp4 files, use a app like VLC to convert you movies to mp4. Then follow instructions. There needs to be a way to turn off reticle, not sure if it’s a bug. Re-installed 2 times and still didn’t fix it. If that addition comes out to be able to turn the reticle off, I will change this review to 5 stars! Please make it happen!
