  • Keeps crashing

    By Miguel 12341234 (Pcmac user)

I read a Techcrunch article about how this was the Summly for sports. It might be but it doesn't work. The app continuously crashes and doesn't even get to the title/home screen. Fix it and hopefully I download it again. Delete.
  • Looks Pretty, But No Brains Behind the Beauty

By Light Beyond the Clouds (Pcmac user)

Here's why I won't be using this app: 1) You choose a sport from the menu, e.g Football. It looks like you can then swipe through Football stories. Wrong! They're not all Football stories. So there's actually only ever 1 story related to the sport you select. That's useless to users and defeats the point of selecting a chosen sport. 2) When will developers learn?! Some users do not want to use a Facebook account to log in. So if you don't have or don't want to use FB or Google+ to log in, then you cannot customize this app at all. 3) Use of color is a good idea but feels a total rip off of the Clear TODO app. Also, white text on a yellow background just doesn't work. 4) Changing the UX experience on a page is a poor. i.e The app uses vertical scrolling until the bottom of the page when it suddenly integrates horizontal scrolling. Horizontal scrolling used in this particular manner breaks the flow of the user experience and it is also slow and cumbersome to use. 5) Finally, the biggest concern with this app is that it's not better than, nor can ever replace actual news/sports websites. So whether it's ESPN, BBC, Yahoo, The Telegraph, or whatever your preference is, you'll continue to use and need those websites. This app just cannot compete with a sports section of a website (mobile or not). Can't see this app being around for very long and designers and developers need to realize that function rules over form: A pretty design does not equate to user loyalty. Features, functionality, and content, will always be a greater need from your users.
