  • Want an Onkyo 4 App Please!

    By Meter Eater (Pcmac user)

the app Team, I love the convenience of having this Smart Phone App to control my WiFi enabled the app receiver, but was very disappointed when I was forced to updgrade from my the app Remote2 App to this Remote3 App. I lost the key functionality controlling the volume for my Zone 2 outdoor speakers. No matter what settings I change or which online forum’s advice I have tried to follow, my Zone 2 volume control within the app shows as “Pre-Fixed Out” and will not let me adjust the volume. What is frustrating is that this was never an issue with my the app Remote2 App, but that App is no longer compatible with my iOS version, so I’m stuck with the Remote3 App. Please make this right and send out an update or a new version to resolve this issue.
  • Works well with a couple flaws

By Jason In Duluth (Pcmac user)

Overall it works well. Like other users have said I find it annoying that it has to search for the receiver every time I switch to a different app or something. It only takes a brief second or two so I can deal with it. But what really annoys me is the following: for the life of me I can’t turn the volume up on Zone 2 (when I turn it up it always goes back to 0). I’m using it with a TX RZ800. I lost my original remote so I’m going to try everything to get it working before I purchase a replacement remote. ****Update**** I finally did figure out how to turn the volume up on Zone 2 of my receiver. I had to go into settings and change the volume on Zone 2 to variable and increased it to the right volume level. Now I just have to figure out how to get the sound to play but I think that’s a receiver problem and not the remote app. With all this said I do recommend using the remote app. I can be out in the driveway and turn the music on. It’s great!
  • Switching Receivers

    By 13boosted (Pcmac user)

The app works great, but I have 3 the app receivers and I can’t switch between them. I have “auto connect” turned off, but it still auto connects to the last receiver I used. When I open the app, it flashes all 3 receivers, but then auto connects to the last one I used. The only way I have found it to stay on the receiver list, is to power off my phone and the power it back on. If someone knows a way around this, let me know. *update*. I figured it out shortly after posting this.
  • Works well with my new Onkyo TX-8140 receiver

    By Chuck27now (Pcmac user)

I can’t use the standard remote because I don’t have direct line of sight access to the receiver. This iOS app solves that perfectly and is easy to use. My primary music source right now is Pandora and I’m delighted to see full Pandora functionality from within the the app app. Looking forward to testing alternative source inputs from the app but I have no reason to believe that there will be any issues.
