Install Pocket Lick: Banjo app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Pocket Lick on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Pocket Lick"
- The search will reveal the Pocket Lick: Banjo app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Pocket Lick is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Pocket Lick.
- Now enjoy Pocket Lick on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Pocket Lick Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use Pocket Lick,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Pocket Lick" » then Click "Install".
- Pocket Lick: Banjo will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

This app is a great way to learn licks that can add a little little sparkle to your playing. I would recommend it for the advanced beginner and beyond. It would nice to be able to control the video playback speed, but that said, well worth the 3 price.

Good but not for beginners

There’s no “sort by difficulty”. I’m just starting out and was hoping to quickly find some licks to ramp me up in other directions but I have to watch/view each one to get a sense of its difficulty. This app is really good, I think I’ll be using it more as I get better. For now it’ll sit on the back burner.

Wish it had fingering notation for right and left hand. Otherwise I like everything else. Bennett emailed me to let me know tunefox does have right hand fingering notation. Also he told me updates are coming. They are busy with tunefox at this time.
