Install Author - create and publish documents to the web app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Author on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Author"
The search will reveal the Author - create and publish documents to the web app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Author is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Author.

Stunning Writing App

While I understand that this application may be designed for publishing to the web, this is exactly the application I have been looking for to write long form fiction. I have tried almost everything - dozens and dozens of apps - over the last few decades and this is one of the best I’ve ever seen. That customizeable structure bar at the left should be mandatory in every word processor ever made. Well done. I look forward to other features they come up with.

It’s a wonderful app, I’ll give it that. The UI is very clean and easy to use, very well designed too. I definitely get the drive to push the cloud subscription service too, but honestly I think that’s where this app falls short. If this were a service that pushed to Medium, Evernote, other services, or even just exported in various formats it would be an instant hit. I was personally looking for an beautiful editor to write and/or export in markdown format… But this app can’t do that unfortunately. If support for markdown were added, it would instantly be one of the most beautiful and well featured markdown editors on the market - I could see people paying for an app so well rounded with that feature support.
Very very good Writing App

I stumbled upon this one, and read 'Akyi's review that it was a good word processor for long from writing. I have to agree, there is a 'touch' in the design that is unique from other great writing apps, such as Scrivener, iA writer, Ulysses - this app has a strong potential to stand next to them.
Not Many Options

Not very many formatting options, and printing is disabled in the free version. You have to upgrade to export to pdf. There are better free options available.
