What is Project Planning Pro?

The Project Planning Pro app is a project management tool designed for Mac OS X. It allows users to create project plans quickly by entering tasks, duration, and start dates. The app features an interactive Gantt chart that enables users to edit and update tasks. It also supports Microsoft Project 2016 Plan Import/Export and can import plans in XML and PPP format created using either Microsoft Project or Project Planning Pro app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Software Features and Description

1. Critical Path View- Critical path view showcases the tasks that are critical for your project and need to be accomplished on time, so as to ensure that the Project moves as per the fixed schedule.

2. Interactive User Interface - Project Planning Pro has been designed to make project management simpler, easier and less time consuming, so that you can focus on important tasks.

3. Resource View- This indicates all the resources utilized in the project along with the number of task they are handling, their cost and the total number of hours they have worked.

4. Gantt View- The Gantt View showcases the task dependencies, milestones, Task start and complete date, task duration, cost of task, task completion in percentage.

5. Task Linkage - In a Project, tasks are dependent on each other and their relationship is represented with dependency lines.

6. Create a project plan in no time by entering tasks, duration and start dates.

7. With Project Planning Pro you can create four kinds of dependencies, namely Finish to Start(FS), Start to Start(SS), Finish to Finish (FF) and Start to Finish(SF).

8. Supported File Types - The app can import plans in XML and PPP format created using either Microsoft Project or Project Planning Pro app on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

9. Enter task durations, add dependencies and assign resources to complete your plan.

Actually fairly good

The user interface is a bit cumbersome, and they probably could just join year 2019 by simply using iCloud Drive to exchange data with the iPad but it's quite a nifty little package for doing classic the app management. The Info panel is a little buggy and difficult to manage. For instance, there's no clear way to scroll left and right in Resource view. Its a little easier to make changes on the iPad. Keep working on it guys. Make the UI friendlier and it'll be a good package.

The program works ok. I can enter the info that is needed and can track it. But the following does not work properly: 1. cannot adjust columns - so when you print the plan out some columns are far too big and others get cut off 2. printing the app plan is not good - for some unknown reason the program exports the entire the app in some sort of picture so when you print it, it pixilates and you can’t even get the info to print out in some sort of order. 3. cannot put your company’s logo onto the the app - only the app logo is displayed - whether you like it or not and as for support… what support????? I have logged numerous calls with the developer and the only feedback I get is sarcasm, if any at all! Do not waste your time as you will get no support whatsoever from the developer

I haven't experienced the problems other reviewers have mentioned. I only use it for creating the app development schedules, so I can't speak to the app's full capabilities, but for that purpose, it works fine--very similar to Microsoft the app. I only deducted a star because I wish the exporting options were a little more customizable.
Not worth the money

The program should be called the app Planning Basic. Hardly any features. Cannot manage print (pdf) pages as in zoom. Print button does not work. Cannot zoom basic screen screens. Looks like a beta version and is not ready for mainstream. Should have been $1. Wasted my money.
