I just come back from the app and without know any word of japanese, it was quite a chaos as you can imagine. Luckily I take this guide with me, it offers a whole lots of useful info you will find handy after you landed. They provide map data, top attractions info, shopping guide, taxi card to show it to taxi drivers when you go to major attractions, even sushi help menu (which provide english sushi translations!!) ...the most important part I find useful is the travel guide section which saves us lots of $$!! definitely recommended.
A must-have for travel

I was between excitement and fear a few weeks ago when I got an internship offer in the app. The fear came from being in a completely new culture and environment. Now, I'm leaning towards excitement now with this app in my back pocket!
Not so great

Very expensive app for very brief informations. Maps are not interactive and they are all scanned JPEG images. Articles are copied directly from multiple website sources (lots of copyright infringement going on here). The app navigation is very basic and also confusing. This app feels like putting together by entry level student. Totally NOT worth $7. It should be 99 cents or even free due to plagiarism. All five stars reviews here are fake (the dates give out clues).

I am in a catch 22 of sorts-frequently in the app for business and my Japanese is poor (it's getting better slowly). :) I use this app daily to get around. Trust me, you have no idea how useful the offline access is until need it!
