Review lowered by 2 :((
By Jonny0007 (Pcmac user)
As I wrote in my review a year ago, I would have really liked to have seen the app extend out to a max time of 35 or 40 minutes -- as it takes some time to lie down & settle in - and then actually doze off!
Where the science shows 20 minutes of actual sleep /unconsciousness to be the "sweet spot" for a the app nap (one that also avoids sleep inertia upon waking) -- the 30 minute limit found here is too short IMO and hinders the potential of the app.
This limitation is fed by the fact that people generally don't want to feel they need to "rush to get to sleep!" That doesn't work too well, as most people know.
I wrote the developer concerning a slightly extended time limit about a year ago and he seemed to see the value in it. However, with no change having yet been seen, it appears the update will never happen.
Anyway, I've dropped the star score on my review and have since changed over to a nap app called "Nap Slide" -- it is the one I now recommend to others.

LOVE IT!!!

This is one of the best apps ever!!! I can't believe how rested and recharged I feel after I wake up! I love the heavy rain sound and could listen to it all day. I do wish that the app could also have an alarm for when you first wake up in the morning, and you could listen to the sound effects before you fall asleep at night. Besides that, I am enjoying the app very much and hope you consider my changes. Thank you!

Good, but no for me.
By Rosymomma (Pcmac user)
This is a good nap app for those that "the app nap." Easy to use, good sleep and wake sounds, and okay to semi cute graphics. The longest nap you can take with this app is 30 min.
Not for those that need longer naps for any reason. Due to a chronic pain condition, I need to nap daily, but generally for 1-2 hours. I wanted an app that would work with a night time sleep app to total all my sleep for my doc to see. No glory with that idea yet.
Anyway, give the kitty a try if you can do the app naps at work, in your car, etc

Perfect for my needs
By Teeny ncc (Pcmac user)
I was looking for a simple timer for short segments of violin practice- to use along with the timer on my phone which is set for the whole session. Every other app I tried was way too complicated. But this was exactly what I wanted. Easy as pie to set a 3 minute timer (or any length up to 30 minutes). And the cat is cute. I think they should put a meow in the sound/alarm choices, though.
