1. The app shows on the state map the main navigation route, the location of locks, guard gates, lift bridges and moorings along the canal as well as some well known biking trails nearby.

2. The Erie Canal is a navigable channel in New York, connecting Albany on the Hudson River to Buffalo and Lake Erie.

3. Integration with the Maps app allows users to get detailed directions to reach docks and marinas by car.

4. On iPhones, the app allows users to call lockstations and marinas along the canal.

5. Users can plot their location on the map and share it with family, friends and other users.

6. This 338 miles waterway is now used for recreational boating and links many historical towns on the north of the state.

7. Warning : this app does not replace specialized publications and nautical charts.

8. Note from Apple : Continued use of GPS can dramatically decrease battery life.

Using Erie Canal on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Erie Canal"
The search will reveal the Erie Canal app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Erie Canal is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Erie Canal.
Now enjoy Erie Canal on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Erie Canal,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Erie Canal" » then Click "Install".
- Erie Canal will now be available on your Windows start-menu.
