Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Color Notes"
The search will reveal the Color Notes app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Color Notes is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Color Notes.

I lost everything!

I have been using this app for years! Recently they updated the app and I thought I had lost the app altogether. Several years worth of notes all gone. Today I was searching and I realized that I hadn’t completely lost the app? But the app tile had a change of look so I didn’t recognize it. I opened the app expecting to be able to access all my old saved notes and unfortunately you can’t access anything without logging in. I’m pretty sure at some point I used my email to forward a backup of notes to myself but it’s been a long time. So I used my email. Went to the archived notes…nothing. I logged out, logged in with my Apple ID, went to the archived notes…still nothing. This is super frustrating!! Most of the notes I had it doesn’t matter if I lost. But there were a couple that I absolutely could not lose. I was already annoyed when I lost notes before when I first started using it because I didn’t save. But then I always saved the notes from then on out. If there’s another way to access the notes I don’t know what it is and I am super irritated that I wasn’t notified the app would be updating and that info could be lost.

Lost everything I had for the last 5 years!!! Passwords , notes and family information which cannot be replaced!! Spent 4 hours online and on phone with Apple and this developer has no contact information which is bull crap!! There is no way to reach the developer to find out what is going on. Reset my phone twice to go back to an older iCloud version before the update and that did not work it brings up the new version of the update. I am beyond upset!!! DO NOT USE THIS DEVELOPER!!! Regardless of this app is free Apple said nothing should have been lost and they are now investigating this developer for what they have done!!! I want my information back because they have stolen it!!!
Just lost all my notes.

Thank you for your response. Because you did I have updated my review. I definitely understand that these things happen. I have loved using this app and will try it again, but definitely will be sure I have this info elsewhere backed up.
Latest version

I received the developer’s response which was to update with the latest version, I had already updated to that version. That’s what has me frozen at the splash screen. Before this release, I had lost all data but got the sign in. With the latest version, all I get is the splash screen. I don’t get any further. Is it doing something in the background? Or nothing. I am afraid to delete in the off chance I could get my prior data back. I have been using the app Note for years. The latest version just wiped out five (5) years of notes. Unbelievable!!! Completely and totally wiped everything I had. If I could, I would give this a BIG negative!!!
