  • Abandoned app? I may need to move back to XScope :(

    By Bleeny (Pcmac user)

I really want to like this - but some things seem to be broken. This was last updated 2 years ago, so maybe it's been abandoned. The hot keys just don't work. I've tried resetting the app to it's default settings, but still nothing. When I start the app jusrt to launch some measly guides, they do show up - when I want to toggle them off, the hot keys don't work. I can go to the menu bar, but the 'guides' section is greyed out. I have to close all and start again to do anything new. And this is just for the guides. I can't really tell what the problem is. The only thing I can think of is the fact that I'm now using a second monitor, but it launches on the active monitor and pretends to work. There are links here on the App Store to 'Support" but it goes to the website, where there is no place I can find to ask a support question. Sooo, even though there's supposedly a lot of functionality for $10, it needs to work. This app hasn't been updated in two years, but you ARE still selling it - so I expect that if there's an issue, we should be able to reach you. This isn't really the forum for that, but it's all I have. I would love to be able to resolve these issues, but if I can't I'll be moving on to one of your many competitors.
  • Switched from xScope to QuickLens

    By Nate Pickens (Pcmac user)

I’m a long-time xScope user (~10 years) for design and web development. It's a very useful tool, but $50 over and over for every new version is a bit much for what it does. I've tried to switch to other tools over the years, but they've always lacked something. this app, however, nails it. 80% cheaper and does everything I ever used xScope for just as well if not better. The keyboard shortcuts (and the associated help documentation for them) are really fantastic. 5 stars all the way.
  • Quick feedback and feature request

    By ans87ID (Pcmac user)

I purchased this app a while ago and I find it one of the most convenient, lightweight tool for graphics development. I began having issues with it crashing spontaneously ever since I updated to MacOS Sierra b2. Particularly, any time I attempt to evoke the monocle, the app crashes. Hotkeys are an essential feature and they work great, but I have issue with assignment: sometimes an old hotkey assignment, which I had revoked before the crash, reappears when the app is relaunched after the crash. Besides that, I wanted to request a few features. Could you grant users the ability to disable some features. I do not use the screen shot function since I use Capto or Mac’s built-in screen capture function for that. Also, could you add the ability to set the app theme to system default. That is, if the system is set to dark, the app is dark, and if the system is set to light, the app switches to light. I use f.lux to automatically switch dark and light depending on day-night cycles. Thanks for your support.
  • Rock solid app

    By cssjunkie (Pcmac user)

I must say that for ten bucks I wasn't expecting much, but in fact I've fully tested the tools and found virtually nothing that doesn't work correctly! On the contrary, I keep discovering more well designed functions that all just work, even regarding the keyboard shortcuts, with no hangups or jitter whatsoever. Did you guys sell your souls or what? I'm beginning to feel guilty every time I use this app. After years paying triple what you charge for another screen multitool that I used only reluctantly, this one is very impressive. I'm having so much fun learning all the cool functions that I'm not doing my work! I blame you.
