Install File-Drop app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using File-Drop on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "File-Drop"
The search will reveal the File-Drop app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once File-Drop is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including File-Drop.
Now enjoy File-Drop on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use File-Drop,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "File-Drop" » then Click "Install".
- File-Drop will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

- The app works well once installed on both devices.

- It is easy to transfer files from iMac to iPad.

☹ Cons:

- The app does not have an English version.

- The app interferes with the ability to move or change app icons on the phone screen.

- It is difficult to transfer files from iPad to iMac.

- The app does not allow for sending videos.

This app eliminated my ability to move or change app icons on my phone screen. Do not download this app. It isn’t worth the trouble it creates with other applications. I can’t even delete the app. I would give it a zero or negative star if possible.

First I am using old devices on the iMac side and 10.6.8 with a new iPad 4 which cannot connect to the iMac through iTunes at all. I live in the wilderness, so iMac is not connected to the net except through tether. But once both programs were on their respective devices they work like a charm. Not sure about going from iPad to the iMac how to do that does not seem apparent, but to go iMac to iPad is a breeze.
