Top Pcmac Reviews

  • Fantastic game to spend 15 minutes on.. or hours.

    By You'llnevertakemealivecoppers (Pcmac user)

Love this game, but wanted to let the dev know I encountered a strange bug. I was playing as North Korea trying to get the Oceania achievement and I had captured every single territory on the map except the final piece of Australia, which was held by what was left of China. So I used my infiltrators to take that spot, it froze for a second, said I unlocked Australia, then was just locked in place. I could fire missiles, use powers, and see that everyone was dead in the diplomacy menu, but I couldn’t move the globe and it wouldn’t say I won. I quit and loaded the save, then it said I unlocked Israel and I could spin the globe, but it still didn’t give me the “You Won” screen, instead I was just able to look around and fire missiles and stuff. It still gave me the rewards in the menu and said I had beaten it with N.Korea, but I just thought it was a strange bug.
  • Really good game. Online play available?

    By lightyearhour (Pcmac user)

This is a complex game that is easy and fun to play. I love games like these, where you learn from your mistakes in order to get better next time. I figured out a strategy early on in the game when I lost every match: create pacts the app, expand, research with land locked nations, build cruisers until you obtain your super weapons. Once you obtain your super weapons, shift to a more aggressive stance and start your attack! I’m sure others have figured out their own way of success. If I were to make a suggestion, please make online gameplay available or maybe create different modes like team death match, scenarios(build as much nukes before an asteroid hits) etc. really fun concept, really fun game.
  • Needs Final Hour

    By Metthroid (Pcmac user)

This game is pretty good I must say, but it is lacking in comparison to its much more advanced twin on PC. There is really no reason why you can't bring Final Hour to IOS, so why not do it? Also, maybe some nerfs and buffs need to be placed in on some of the super weapons. The Cobalt bomb, the Tsar bomb, the Laser Satellite, and the Air Defense Dome are all quite underwhelming when you compare them to the other, much better super weapons. The Stealth Bomber and the Infiltrator are a completely different story, as they are both game winners that your enemy can't do anything about. Basically it's "Tap a country, wait 5 seconds, this country is now dead/in your command, wait 5 seconds, repeat.
  • Total click fest, not RTS

    By Psyco Midget (Pcmac user)

Game is a little fun, however don’t expect this to be a strategy game with calculated decisions, there’s very little strategy. All you do is click to expand your territory chunk by chunk, and click to launch missiles to defend your chunks. When you have dozens of chunks, it gets real tiring clicking on each one over and over to restock their missiles, just so you can click each one over and over to defend them one by one. All you do is swipe around the globe finding the targeted territory and launching defense missiles. Super annoying, games get boring after 5-10 minutes of doing this. Gameplay is repetitive, little replay value. Glowing reviews, pretty graphics, and a $1.99 price tag made this seem like it was more than it was.
