What is Sporty's FAR/AIM? The FAR/AIM app by Sporty's Pilot Shop is an electronic version of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM) that contains information from Titles 14 and 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 and 49 CFR) relevant to pilots, flight instructors, and flight crew. The app is designed to provide aviators with a comprehensive and user-friendly tool for studying and referencing the rules and regulations governing aviation in the United States.

Waste of Money

It was a mistake to buy this app. I was looking for a replacement to my Tekk Innovations FAR/AIM app since it's paragraph indention and spacing hasn't worked properly. I figured the the app name provided some assurance of quality, this would be a good candidate. It is not. There is no bookmarking capability and the search capability is amateurish at best. A search for a term takes you only to the beginning of the paragraph.. you still have to scroll through screens to find the term. I would have rated this app zero stars but the review requires at least one.

If your looking for something flashy don't download this app. It is perfect if you are familiar with the FAR/AIM. It definitely provides you with the information intended. Hopefully Sporty's put out a more easily navigable format.

Not sure why everyone says it’s not up to date. Great purchase, have had it for years. Best $9 I spent as a broke CFI and currently broke commercial pilot. Search function is great
Good Start But Needs Work

The organization and update features are very good, but the text is super small, with no option to change font size or re-flow text. It looks like it was copied and pasted from the FAA web page.
