If you want to install and use the NOAA Weather Radar Live app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use NOAA Weather Radar Live for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: NOAA Weather Radar Live for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type NOAA Weather Radar Live in the search bar and press Search. Click on NOAA Weather Radar Live application icon. A window of NOAA Weather Radar Live on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the NOAA Weather Radar Live icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: NOAA Weather Radar Live for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use NOAA Weather Radar Live for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Ok, so I wasn’t happy about the $10/yr subscription, but I got hooked and I haven’t regretted it. I was, perhaps like many of you, a loyal user of Weather Underground’s excellent Storm app until it was replaced and ruined. I’ve bounced around some other apps since, but when I found this one it just clicked. First, it’s the fastest one I found. It takes about a third of the time as some others (including Weather Underground’s otherwise excellent regular app) to initially load the radar. And it looks great and moving around is really intuitive. It doesn’t offer as much detail as some other apps, but it gets the basics right. I can see in an instant the forecast, both hourly and daily, the humidity and wind, and I was able to customize it to show sunrise and sunset in the same screen. That’s what I need most. The hurricane tracker is neat but not something that by itself I would pay the premium price for. I wish it displayed weather fronts, but I can live without that. Notifications aren’t as customizable as Weather Underground’s, but they work. All in all, this does what I need it to do and does it very well.
  • App tricks you into paying upfront

Downloaded the app, authorized the download with my fingerprint, then opened the app and was immediately prompted by another screen asking for my fingerprint, right after I said that I didn’t want to pay, that I just wanted the free version, they don’t clarify that the free version is 7 days free, and after that is paid. When it prompted me the second time for my fingerprint, I never thought I’d be paying a week later, since I selected the free version. I know they’re going to say “but it says on the screen that it’s not free” thing is, they use smaller fonts and on the bottom, making it deceiving and impossible to see at first glance. Also, NOAA is a government agency, pretty much the “Weather Bureau” (as you used to be called) you’re funded by taxes, literally “for the people by the people”, why do you charge people for an app, that only mirrors something that it’s already paid for with tax dollars, I know there’s app developers and support and everything, but the department doesn’t live off these payments through the AppStore, your department has an anual budget, so why, WHY, why charge people for something that’s already paid for, AND SUCH AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT!?
  • Weather channel 5* beats this apps Full-screen pop-ads,

This would be a 5 star app if it werent for full screen ads that come up in seconds after opening. And weather details that slide open/closed/open/closed so cant read the forecast! Weather Channel app opens to beautiful scene, gives forecast and if scroll we can see radar, week ahead, etc. Sorry developers, you still after all these months cant get this NOAA app to function well. Instead of creatively having ads within the app page the pop-up ads cover full screen, often X to close ad is hidden, cant get ad to close. After getting to page the weather report that pops out of the right side goes away before you can read it, weather is gone and wont come back until you keep clicking, dragging etc. or close app and open again, but then you get another page covering ad again. Shame the app developers dont know how to build an app that has ads creatively in them like so many other apps. Deleted this again, I love the Weather channel app SO much better!

I used this app all the time since I'm in changing weather conditions worldwide. I'm a USA citizen and my wife is a international citizen so my interests are needed for both, at home and internationally plus I travel frequently. I even purchased the upgraded version so I'd always be updated. It's a very good app. Only downfall is although I purchased upgrade and all paid for. Itunes uses my credit card info at there leisure and without my permission for automatic updates which I don't approve of on all apps, even ones I know longer have on my phone. So, although apps like this one I really like. I'm forced to not use because of ITunes and am forced to seek other less desirable free apps to go around Itunes auto charging without permission. Plus, although I purchased the upgraded version. I am not able to use it because iTunes has blocked my use because I have blocked there use of my credit card info.

Title says it all. Confusing interface and it takes forever to load. I would be willing to bet the upgraded version is where all the talent went, but I’m not shelling out any money for this, and let me say it completely clearly, HOT GARBAGE. Don’t waste the space.
  • NOAA weather should be free because

NOAA weather reports should be free via an app. NOAA is a federal agency. (Our tax dollars at work!) The best weather forecasts, analysis, and records are available for free from the NOAA website. NOAA should make its own app to make this information more easily accessible. Ask your congressional representatives to request this of NOAA!
