Software Features and Description

1. Check ID will display the following fields from an identification card if available: name, date of birth, age, gender, hair color, eye color, height, weight, expiration date, and address information.

2. Check ID scans “PDF417” barcodes most commonly found on the back of driver's licenses and government issued ID cards.

3. Guests can be added to a list ahead of time from the Options screen, or they can be assigned a guest list after scanning their ID.

4. Check ID will warn you when it sees a date of birth above or below the "Minimum Age".

5. Check ID also includes a "Guest List" feature.

6. Check ID works without sending your data to any other party.

7. Privacy is paramount as no data from the scanned barcodes is saved or transmitted to any another computer.

8. Add guests to lists (e.g. VIP / Banned / etc) to welcome repeat customers.

9. The “Minimum Age” alert setting is user-configurable.

10. No analytics are collected at all.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Check ID on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Check ID"
The search will reveal the Check ID: License Scanner app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Check ID is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Check ID.
Now enjoy Check ID on PC.

Great start!

This app is definitely on the right track. The scanning is lightning fast with all the real IDs I've scanned, and slower or non scanning with some of the fakes, which gives you a convenient second to eyeball the patron. The most important thing to add soon is an alert for expired IDs. That is a huge problem for clubs/bars. Then I'd like to see different settings for age ranges & gender. For example one club I worked at allowed 18+ for girls and 21+ for guys. If I could hear a different tone for girls in that range, and set a different color for them to know quickly to draw Xs on their hands. Overall, this app is fantastic and I hope to watch it and it's developers grow and flourish for finally offering an app like this at a reasonable price.
Flawless camera reader

This app should be charging 4.99 for the fact it allows unlimited scans unlike others, because I would well worth pay to use this! Very simple interface and results are nice and clean. Of course like any id verification its still a form of secondary info and still need to look and compare with the photo however on crafted cards this is the best tool to show its homemade when the info can't scan or doesn't match on

This app is so much better than the clunky boxes we used to use. I the app hundreds of IDs a day and this app is definitely worth the money. It's super fast and never has scanning issues. And it has already been updated to iOS 8/iPhone 6!
Good ID card reader

I really found this app useful. Unlike similar apps, it does not have to go to the server to function. You can read a card even if you're not connected to any server by any means. It's only real flaw is that it doesn't remember each scanned card for later recall.
