  • Does Not Perform As Advertised

    By Linmukai (Pcmac user)

I purchased this app and ran it here on a late-2013 iMac running the most current version of El Capitan as of this writing. It did not remove everything it claimed to and falsely reported zero bytes of data in places where that was not correct. I verified this. So, based on a similar comment from another reviewer here I downloaded a free trial of another app also available here on the Mac App Store and tested if it would remove the items that this app failed to remove. The app PrivacyScan did this successfully and also removed more items this app does not even attempt. There is no excuse for failing to properly QA software to ensure that it minimaly does what it is designed to do, thus my 1 star rating. I have removed it from my system and just requested a refund from the Mac App Store because this does not do what it advertises it will. I would recommend looking into other apps for this that work well such as the one I mention.
  • Does not clean up Mail Downloads and other downloads folders

    By Gentle Explorer (Pcmac user)

This app DOES NOT clean up one of the riskiest places for confidential stuff to accumulate: the Mail Downloads folder. Things accumulate there…anything that was a confidential attachment to an email. These accumulate over a period of years, and rarely are cleaned up. Folders such as "~/Library/Mail Downloads” and other Downloads folders in the ~/Library/Containers/… folders should get purged if this app is really about protecting the app. This omission is bizare, considering that their other product “Disk Doctor” does clean up mail downloads. Is this an omission, or neglect of this app? It does a decent job of the [limited] things that it does. A slightly better effort at finding dust bunnies like "~/Library/Mail Downloads” would make this app more trustworthy and truly valuable.
  • Still Does Not Delete All Cookies and Other Sensative Data (ver. 1.4)

    By itabmedia (Pcmac user)

Four versions have been released of this app and still does not delete all cookies and sensitive data. I was excited to see flash cookie support added, but this does not seem to improve from past versions. As a test running the latest version of Safari, I logged into a few sites, and made some changes to website preferences. After using the app with Safari closed, reopening the pages, I’m still logged in, and my preferences are not reset. I like the UI of the app, but does not perform basic functions a the app cleaner should. Look at the app PrivacyScan, after using that one, no data gets left behind, nothing. Hope this can still be fixed soon, Thanks
  • Clean Clean Clean

    By George Orr (Pcmac user)

Very Easy to use and set-up. I clean it all up all the time. There is so much nasty software out there waiting to scoop up and and all info I am paranoid about it all. It is easier to try to be safe than try and work yourself out of a problem.
