  • Simple time killer

    By Mx4747 (Pcmac user)

This game is entertaining for the first few minutes, but it gets boring pretty quickly. It seems like there is potential for a more interesting game but all it turned out to be is a time killer. The effects of the power ups and upgrades are almost indiscernible, the score multiplier tops out at 3x, which you can easily reach with just 5 to 10 jumps, and the difficulty curve is practically flat, so you can play for a long time without ever facing much challenge or variety. As you go on, a couple of gimmicks are introduced--backwards-spinning planets and fireballs. The first has no real impact on the game, but does give it a little variety, while the latter adds some challenge, especially as things begin to speed up. The graphics are nicely done and definitely give the game some character, but it doesn't make up for the lacking gameplay.
  • Solution to Expensive Upgrades

By April and David (Pcmac user)

Why are upgrades so darn spendy? My solution if I had the opportunity to suggest it would be to change the goals that give bonuses so that they are based on running totals. For example, there is a goal for collecting 500 gold screws. The count does not start until that goal is revealed to the player. Perhaps the game could count these statistics from the first play so that when you reach these goals, you automatically get the bonus. Then goals of the same nature could be added and revealed as time goes on such as 1,000 gold screws, 2,500 gold screws, 5,000 gold screws, and so on. There are a couple of issues though as well. For one, once the "AI" calculates that the character is in a fall that can't be recovered from, the player can indeed sometimes recover with a double or a triple jump but then the character is stuck on the planet it lands on and cannot make any additional jumps. Second, some of the goals are uninspired. For example, a goal for dying three times is a different way of wording 'Play X number of games' for which there are also goals for.
  • A few issues..

    By aayler (Pcmac user)

This game could be 50% better by fixing the extreme and unrealistic cost for upgrades, which I have yet to purchase a single one. If you are serving the "simple" segment if the game app market then you should also know that these types of games don't have a long replay life. You cannot make the replay ability longer by jacking up the price of everything. Cheap and bad move. The other issue is the nauseating camera jerk every time you land. It's annoying to try to actually follow your guy jumping around. It would be much more user friendly and smooth if the camera followed him to the planet. And what's up with the poorly drawn crab arms on the guy?
  • Good but underdeveloped.

    By Inksplot (Pcmac user)

Let me start by saying the game has charm. It's got a cool graphical style and who doesn't love collecting shiny objects for points? The problem is it's more like a tech demo of a game concept than an actual game. You jump from planet to planet by tapping. You can't control the power of the jump and there are no cool gravity physics or interesting effects that play off the space theme. Basically there is no challenge or diversity after you spend 5 minutes on the game. There are a few upgrades which cost far too much and have little to no effect on the gameplay. Overall it's a cool concept that's just not developed or interesting enough to play for more than a few minutes.
