  • One of the best useful apps ever!

    By Songcreator777 (Pcmac user)

For learning the app this app is indispensable and well worth the $4.99 to have it all. As a visual learner you can quickly see the patterns and make sense of the use of fingering, especially with scales. I can even practice memorizing scales when away from an actual the app. Plus you have everything you need on the screen - if you want to know the musical notation but also want to see where it is on the the app keyboard its all there - plus you can play it back. When practicing scales you can choose whether it's the notes or the finger numbers that appear on keyboard. You would have to spend at least $35 to find a paperback chord book that still wouldn't contain all of this without it being too large of a book. Bravo to the team that took the time to develop this app - thanks for that!!!
  • A MUST HAVE for musicians

    By Bransenj (Pcmac user)

This might be the single most important resource for musicians, especially self taught musicians who learn and play by ear. I don't know how I made it without the tools in this simple yet powerful app but now that I found it I'm opening up my skill set to new and ascended heights. The wealth of scales available is exhaustive and the song feature is an added bonus. I was looking for an option to play a set of notes and it would tell you what chord it is and which inversion. But I find the challenge of discovering the chord on my own to be a powerful learning experience so in a way I'm happy it's not there. Get the full version if you're serious about your musicianship.
  • Great app - one suggestion

    By JJCIV33 (Pcmac user)

This is by far the best the app chord app I’ve found. One suggestion, however: When you use the “Reverse” chord finder, it would be nice if it returned some of the obvious results first. For example, if I enter the notes for a simple G major chord, the app first returns a bunch of complicated C chords. The G major chord is way down the list. Otherwise, I really love this app and am still giving it 5 stars!
  • Helpful

    By Sidfail (Pcmac user)

I use this app mainly for finding out what a specific chord that I see on a chord chart looks like on the the app, and although I know all the major and minor chords, I am still trying to figure out what the more complex chords like E/G# and F#m7 look like on the the app, and although I can’t get all the chords from this app because I don’t have the paid version, I still am able to use this app about half the time when I find an unfamiliar chord. This app also beats other apps because it does not have any adds (as far as I have seen anyway). The only reason I am not rating this as a 5 star review is that I don’t get all the chords in the free version, which of course I understand. The producers have to get money somehow, right?
