Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Pinpoint on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Pinpoint"
The search will reveal the Pinpoint: Screenshot Editor app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Pinpoint is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Pinpoint.
Now enjoy Pinpoint on PC.

Finally an upgrade

The app when called bugshot has basically been unusable for months. This is a welcome upgrade however there are a few odd features. First, you have to pay for colors, and it's a hefty $4.99 to unlock all colors. Not only is the cost outrageous, the placement of the color tool is in an odd place. You would think the color tool would be with all the other tools, but it's not. You have to back out of the image you are working on to a previous page where settings are located. It's an odd set up. The other thing that would be nice would have the ability to add annotations to all photos, not just screenshots. Good upgrade but needs a few improvements. Update: it's been over a year since my last review and nothing has changed. Color tool is still in odd place and you can only draw on screenshots.
Beautiful, could be king, but nearly useless

The fact that the app has only been updated two or three times in the last three years and people are still complaining about the same problems should tell you not to pay for this. I made that mistake thinking I would get what I was missing but no. You can’t resize the boxes or arrows, you can’t change directionality of the arrows, you can’t write notes or use text, no ability to edit non-screenshoted photos, and if you bother your screenshot at all after taking it, during that time when it’s still a thumbnail on your screen, it doesn’t get added to the list at all. But otherwise it works just great, LOL!

I've had this app since December 2013, when it was Bugshot. I don't have any issues with it at all. I didn't need all the extra colors, so I only purchased the black. It works AS INTENDED on screenshots. If I want to put an arrow on a photo or non screenshot, I use a different app. But that doesn't happen often. It's a tool, not a photo editing app. iOS 13's new share sheet made it a bit more difficult to delete the original screenshot. Not an issue though.

I have another app that does something similar but not as bold. I love the simplicity overall and the blur is just hilarious, however for the life of me I can not resize the text. As others have mentioned changing the colors is in an odd place as well. (As for the price, I have no problem paying developers for their hard work (especially given you can generously and fully use the app for free in orange).
