  • Useful but still a little buggy

    By MCCC Prof (Pcmac user)

If used diligently, this app will help you to both lose weight AND eat in a more healthy manner. Colonel Cosmos pointed out very well some of the little annoyances with remembering the foods you have recorded - no need for me to repeat, here; read that review. I am a former WW member who finds this app very effective for losing the 10 pounds that crept up on me since my last WW meeting in the summer of 2008. This app helped me to shed those pounds; I will continue to use it for weight maintenance! One of the best uses of $4 I've made in decades. November, 2019: The paragraph above was written 2 years ago with the original version of this app. When I upgraded my phone two weeks ago, it no longer worked properly. So I was talked into using the “new and improved” version by the technical staff. Upgrading forced me to lose all of my previous entries and data (which annoyed me). Some aspects of the previous version were better than this one. All in all, this app is pretty good.
  • Disrespecting their customers.

    By Garm4 (Pcmac user)

Like so many who have given this app one star, I bought the app as a one time purchase a few years ago. I am now going to find out if there’s an option to complain to the iTunes Store about this company’s business practices. I was sold one thing, then, about a year ago, I get an “update” that takes features that I previously paid for and locks them behind a pay wall. My husband luckily never updated his app and he still has the points calculator and the meal builder & other features, with no monthly subscription. How unfair is that? I understand the company wants to make money, but this was deceptive. I would love to know if it’s possible to restore the app as I purchased it through iTunes. I plan to research that. When it happened, I sent an inquiry to the company through the “contact us” in the app. No one ever reached out to me. It’s a shame because I would have given the app as I purchased it a high rating. It’s not worth the price of a subscription though. Not even close. They should have raised the one-time purchase price, so only new customers would be affected.
  • So grateful for this app

    By janrph (Pcmac user)

After Weight Watchers changed their program from Points Plus to Smart Points, I wanted to continue tracking Points Plus since I had lost 85 pounds on that program and didn’t want to change. Weight Watchers did not give the option of staying with Points Plus so I started looking for an app so I could continue with Points Plus. This was the perfect solution for me and I have been using it successfully for 2 years now. The only drawback to this app is that it is sometimes difficult to match the description with the serving size. Thanks for continuing to offer this app to all of us loyal Points Plus followers!
  • Cant TAKE features I Bought and charge me for them

    By OZisKTB (Pcmac user)

I paid for the app and a set of features. Developer decided to upgrade. No issue, I’ll pay for new features. Locking me out of features in the version I paid for is not an option. So far, they are silent about my request to communicate. ——— Previous 4 Star Review Great so Far I've used this app for a couple of weeks. I used to use Weight Watchers (WW), but they are mining their good will, instead of maintaining their app. This one gives me the points plus I liked so much. Many features are superior to the WW app, especially the speed of online lookup. It is harder to create and track your meals. I wish the app had more reporting capabilities, import recipes, use boolean search and allow tracking of more than the 4 nutritional values. The app returns to the Weekly Summary every time, and I wish it let me choose Diary instead. This is the best app I've found, losing 2-3 lbs a week and feeling good about it. I am happy with my purchase.
