  • great first version

It is unfortunate that this is getting dumped on so heavily. Most of the complaints I've read I am not able to reproduce. Instantly assuming this app is the sole reason things aren't working as expected seems premature. I'm amazed to see ratings of 1 star because it wasn't perfection or because a person doesn't have the 9 bucks they were going to pay if they were remotely serious about music anyway.. I give it a 4 because yes while it does need some work it isn't unusable, hasn't presented any stability problems, and has made this day and hopefully many more a lot more fun. I did pay for the upgrade after confirming it basically functioned as described so perhaps my experiences are skewed by the lack of the annoying voice over. One thing to keep in mind is that this is the first version and almost every popular iOS music app wasn't 100% on day one...better to offer up some constructive criticism and focus on the positive to keep good projects like this moving forward.

I felt compelled to write a review based upon the last 6 minutes I spent contemplating throwing my iPad across the room. When I opened up this app I was excited like high school girl on prom night. I sat through the tutorial and was impressed. It essentially has the same functions of a KP2. I really like how you can use different effects simultaneously. Once the tutorial was over though that was it. I thought the app was free but it turns out it is just a demo. You can't route it through audiobus, if you turn the mic on you hear someone saying it is a demo every 2 seconds, and it gives you the option of playing 3 crappy songs. How am I suppose to test the effects if I don't know the songs? Plus the songs you chose are so heavily effected I don't know what I am effecting or what is in the song. Basically I was really let down. I was so frustrated that I was ready to buy the app just to actually get a real chance to try it....but they don't give you the option to buy it yet!!!!!
  • Awesome potential - needs Dropbox & Soundcloud

    By MahkoMan (Pcmac user)

So far so good! I've only just started playing with the Pro version, but what immediately comes to mind is how amazing it'd be to be able to stream from Soundcloud and process with this. Could probably be achieved by using Cloud DJ as input to this via Audiobus, but having it directly supported (as well as Dropbox) would be sweeeet. My first few attempts using it as Effect and Output with Audiobus resulted in the app crashing as soon as I tied to insert anything in the Input slot. After force-quitting everything and restarting Audiobus I was able to get it working in both slots. If you can duplicate the functionality of my old DigiTech PDS-8000 sampling delay pedal I'll be in heaven. I used it to layer long loops from cassettes. I could have the loop running then punch-in/out a piece to layer over the loop.
