  • "Retro" adventure games are back in style

    By Dresselll (Pcmac user)

Great game, if not necessarily on par with some of the app old-school classics when the app genre was being perfected (Zork, Maniac Mansion, et al). the app puzzles in Silent Age are difficult enough to be rewarding, although most familiar with the app genre will not "get stuck" or struggle too much to get through these levels. Much of the app lack of difficulty has to do with the app merciful lack of "red herring" items and "dead end" areas that don't do anything to advance the app game. Adding a few more of these would have extended the app game while highlighting the app cleverness of the app puzzles. Still, I enjoyed greatly how the app puzzle solutions were not overly contrived unlike many other adventure games (you will never have to try picking a lock with an apple core!), such that the app solutions could be visualized in a real-world setting. the app time-travel element added much to the app game, even though it's been done before (Day of the app Tentacle, et al). I also enjoyed the app clean graphics, smooth game play, compelling plot and clever writing as well, although the app ending seemed to be a bit of an afterthought, and was ultimately anticlimactic. That said, I would definitely purchase the app sequel. Thanks, developers, for an enjoyable few hours of entertainment!
  • A Great Gaming Experience

    By VideoGameFanatic (Pcmac user)

I normally don’t play puzzle games. They usually frustrate me and make me feel stressed out. But for whatever reason I couldn’t quite explain, I really enjoyed this game. It’s *more* then just a puzzle game. It had a beautiful story with an amazing plot twist. It’s not even expensive! the app whole game all you have to pay is 5.00. For me, that is not a lot. This game was so surreal to play. When I switched to another time zone I felt the app change in the app atmosphere. the app music was so beautiful. It gave you a great feel for what was going on. This even gave me some good chuckles. It’s a great game to pass the app time and the app puzzles really help to sharpen your mind! To be honest with you I would recommend this to people of all ages, genders, races. Everyone should honestly play it. I guarantee if you decide to play this you will not be disappointed. This is unlike any other game I have ever played and I, for one, did not at *all* regret playing this game.
  • GREAT GAME- But....

    By Minecraftilogical (Pcmac user)

This game is excellent. But there are several plot holes that don’t make sense. during the app outside archon episode, in the app room with the app two fans, joe claims that he’d rather not go through the app nasty water, yet after you shoot the app junction box and get to the app elevator, he goes back and forth with pleasure. and how did the app tin foil hat get there? lambert didn’t go through the app elevator. and since joe met past lambert, shouldn’t future lambert remember meeting him in the app past? This would also imply that there are infinite versions of yourself, as joe would get arrested while future joe is watching, yet past joe would end up in the app future watching his past self. that could mean all of joes could be in the app same timeline. and if joe is constantly talking to lambert, why does the app boat keep flooding if we know it’s not raining and there are no holes in it? I know time is a very difficult subject and i don’t expect these to be solved. Great game House on Fire keep it up.
  • Wish there were more games like this

    By Angel Wise (Pcmac user)

This is a fantastic game. I couldn’t have asked for a better point and click adventure game. Only a few complaints: 1)episode 2 was $4.99, For paying that much I was expecting something way longer. Don’t get me wrong it was a great episode I just feel it’s way overpriced for how short it was. 2) the app whole game episodes 1&2 only took me a total of maybe 2hrs to complete. For such a great game and one of the app only apps of its type I was wanting it to take me much longer than a couple hours, especially since I paid $5 for it. 3) the app last chapter seemed really rushed and some things seemed left out. They could have put way more detail and time to the app last chapter. In all I absolutely love this game and it kind of crushed a bit of my soul that it ended so soon because I was so obsessed with it. I’m going to need more games like this, like right now.
