1. The Magic Butterfly is an additional effect within the Magic Spider – My Pet Boris App.

2. You tell them that the phone has special sensors that when you wave your hand over the screen it makes the spider come back.

3. Inspired by Jim Pace's magic trick "The Web" where a spider magically appears on the back of your spectator's hand.

4. You take a photo of the spectator's palm (secretly loading a plastic spider on the back of their hand) and place the phone on their palm to hold.

5. Your Pet Boris - an Australian Red back spider (black widow) creeps onto the screen and they can feel the vibrations as it walks.

6. The Magic Spider effect with the addition of a torn card corner revelation as a finale.

7. You will get similarly strong reactions to the Magic Spider effect without the scare factor.

8. You can tap the screen and even slide your finger into the animation to scratch the spider's back.

9. The magician’s finger is seen to tickle the virtual butterfly on screen which then flies away.

10. This is the Original "Spider on Hand" app as seen on Youtube.

11. A tiny foil covered “Magical Egg” is placed in the palm of the spectator’s hand and then photographed.

Best prank ever

I saw some of the one star reviews and was compelled to review this app. This is, by far, the BEST prank ever. I have loved practical jokes my whole life and when I was told about this app I immediately bought it and a few fake spiders and cockroaches. Here's the thing: you need to watch a few video tutorials that are embedded in the app in order to understand how to pull it off. I've played this prank easily over 30 times and at least 8 out of 10 people scream and flinch when they see the fake spider on the back of their hand at the conclusion of the trick. Buy this, watch a few videos, practice it on yourself and have a blast! Disregard any of the bad reviews.
Meant for MAGICIANS!

Everyone, let's think logically here: how could an iPhone make a spider appear on the back of someone's hand? Answer: it can't. This app was (and still is) intended for magicians/the app enthusiasts... The props required to perform the effect are owned by most magicians because of an old card trick on the market, however you have the ability to purchase the props within the app... Anyways, unless the app keeps crashing when you try to open it, don't leave bad reviews just because you don't have everything available!

I have had more fun pulling this the app trick/prank on my friends, coworkers and even strangers anyone who who can’t find the finer humor in this isn’t trying very hard. It’s a top-notch prank with great reactions. For the cost and for the ease of carrying it around, it’s a no brainer. I first learned this illusion with a special deck of card by Jim Webb... equally a effective. It too can be used as a carry around trick, but nut as easily. Not to mention the animation really adds a creep out feel to the spectator!

I have made a living with the app for since 1986. I love effects that fit in my pocket and especially those that use modern technology. When people see the video of the spider they react, but when it literally appears they freak out! My favorite reaction is "That is just wrong!", after they've been screaming and flailing. Then they say, "Do it to my friend!" Those that gave it one star are probably just learning to tie their shoelaces.
