Download and install the ColorSnap® Visualizer for iPad app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .
- Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using ColorSnap on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "ColorSnap"
- The search will reveal the ColorSnap® Visualizer for iPad app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once ColorSnap is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including ColorSnap.
- Now enjoy ColorSnap on PC.
- Using ColorSnap on Mac OS:
Install ColorSnap® Visualizer for iPad on your Mac using the same steps for Windows OS above.
How to download and use ColorSnap App on Windows 11
To get ColorSnap on Windows 11, check if there's a native ColorSnap Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)
- For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.
- Installing ColorSnap:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "ColorSnap" » Click "Install" to install ColorSnap® Visualizer for iPad
- ColorSnap® Visualizer for iPad will now be available on your windows start-menu.

I found this program helpful. If you have used any apps that let you adjust color and light or face tones on a picture this will help. I notice that the color that goes over the picture is slightly translucent to allow seeing the image of the home behind it. So I feel it doesn’t give the true color. I would loosely compare it to looking like one coat of paint instead of the final two coats. But it certainly helps one think through what direction to head for!

This app saved me a lot of time when looking for color schemes for my new house. I was able to pull up pictures of rooms in my house and pick colors and save my colors as well as take it to SW store and they got numbers and made the colors I wanted. It was easy and saved me a lot time. Love it; now using the app on my in-laws home👏🏾

Good in concept

I was a little generous with my rating because the concept is spot-on. The ability to check colors/families, search for known colors, compare colors, etc., are definitely all required attributes of this app.
I agree with other raters, the colors are not accurate so it is difficult to advise a client to use the app for their own visualization. SW fine tune the colors to be accurate and you will have a winning app.
Unfortunately, I did not try the "take your own picture feature" so I cannot compare that to other apps I have used. I thought there was a good variety of preset scenes which would help a user visualize their color in the room.
