What is School PA System? School PA System is an app that provides a simple way to schedule school bells, announcements, and other public address messages directly from an iPad, iPhone, or iPod. It is designed to replace, automate, or improve existing school bells, tone generators, or school public address systems. The app is user-friendly, reliable, and can integrate easily with most existing installed PA systems or in smaller schools where an amplifier and speakers might be used.

Software Features and Description

1. School PA System provides a simple way to schedule school bells, announcements and other public address messages, directly from an iPad, iPhone or iPod (the app is now universal, meaning it can be used at native resolution on any iOS device).

2. School PA system will integrate easily with most existing installed PA Systems, or in smaller schools where an amplifier and speakers might be used.

3. Select different themes / music / or bells for different times of the day or for different school events.

4. While this app has been designed specifically for schools, there's no reason why it couldn't be used in churches, groups, universities, at sporting events or even as a point of sale marketing tool.

5. All you need is a dedicated iOS device connected to a power source and a TRS connector (also referred to as an audio jack, phone jack, headphone plug).

6. Create Emergency Signals and other messages that can be reused in specific situations.

7. Scheduled bells (daily, weekly, weekends) that are fully customizable (time of day, etc).

8. Pre-record your own public announcements, using the built-in voice recorder.

9. And bells of less than 30 seconds can now play in the background, even if the application is not active.

10. Make live announcements with our new Live Mic feature.

11. Because the app is flexible and configurable, it could be used in almost any situation where an existing PA system is being used.

Great for my classroom

This app was just what I needed to bring the app bells to my small classroom without having to buy a full PA system. I could set the bells to ring whenever I wanted, I could add my own sounds, and it worked with notifications on my old iPad. My students liked the music, and they actually looked forward to class ending! It was just what I was looking for.

This app has tons of good features but 1 MAJOR drawback that need to be addressed by the designer. As a homeschooling mom, this has made a huge difference in our day. Pros: I love that I can set tons of bells. It is the only thing I found that could do that. It has been instrumental in keeping my homeschooled son and I on track with our day. It has been a game changer in his attitude about the day and my ability to focus on my to do list without getting off schedule. I am also able to link the bells with a song. Instead of telling my so. It's time for grammar, Weird Al's "Word Crimes" does the trick. He now comes to the table to do grammar in a good mood. Con: This app will only work if it is active. If I am surfing the web, the bell won't ring. If I am typing a text, the bell won't ring. If someone called and I forgot to close the phone app, the bell won't ring. If I sent an email and forgot to close the email app,.... You get the point. Major pain. Having paid a lot for this app, I am not happy. The bells should work while the app is working in the background. This app would be worth 5 starts for all it offers but since it only works 1/2 the time, I give it 2 stars. Fix this, and I will start telling all my friends about it.
Uh Oh! It Broke! Bug Found!

When creating a new bell, changing he “days when bell will ring” section causes the app to crash. This was tested on two different devices both running IOS 9. It dies not matter what you change it to, it still crashes… Every time! Please fix ASAP as I rely on this app ever day!
Wow, turn any old or new iphone into a PA system

Works fine, stabile with no crashes and comes with good bell and alarm sounds. As far as the comment from another reviewer, it would make good sense to dedicate any old iphone to function as the the app's PA SYSTEM. Hence the need for it to work in the sleep mode is one essay.
