Software Features and Description

1. Which is why, unlike other RSS feed readers, that either push you into a browser (in-app or otherwise), or depend on third party text parsing services and require you to be online to fetch the full text of one article at a time (which makes it no different from having to click/tap through to a website), in lire, you get your favorite RSS feeds as they should've been.

2. It takes your favorite partial feeds, does it's magic, and converts them in to full feeds, so you don't have to click/tap on those annoying 'Read more' or 'Continue reading' links.

3. However, some sites set up their feeds to only show a portion of each entry, you know, to get you to click through to their actual website.

4. RSS feeds are a great way to follow updates on your favorite website.

5. Once they're cached, you don't even need to be connected to read your full-text feeds.

6. sync with any of the several services: Feedly, Feedbin, FeedHQ, The Old Reader, Inoreader, BazQux Reader, Newsblur, Feed Wrangler.

7. You don't need to click through to any website (though, you do still have the option to, if you really wanted).

8. We find that really annoying, and we're sure you do too.

  • Warning: only works in this app!

    By Scott👨‍💻 (Pcmac user)

I bought this since it claims it integrates with inoreader. Well it does, but it only imports your subscriptions. You cant export to inoreader or any other RSS reader. That means the full text extraction only works in this app, nothing else. Sorry, but I need something I can use within my existing RSS reader, I can’t be locked into an app on my phone or an expensive Mac-only desktop app. The only reason I didn’t contact apple to request a refund is because the developer was responsive and immediately fixed an issue with the feed I was testing, but again in the end it’s not useful to me so I ended up uninstalling it. Such a shame this “engine” can be used on any other platform.
  • Love the app

    By fiascofiasco (Pcmac user)

I’ve been searching for the perfect (to me) RSS reader for quite a while, and this app may be the closest I’ve found. There’s just a couple little things that impact the reading experience and have become more and more annoying to me over time: 1. Please remove the footer bar from the article list view. Maybe this info could be only on the main index page. I spend a lot of time on that list view and the footer is huge and redundant and just breaks my reading immersion. 2. Please introduce a session based approach to filtering the unread list. It’s jarring to load a list of 10 unread articles and have them disappear from the list as I go thru them. I get it, they’re “read”, but please just mark them as read and don’t change the list contents until I revisit this page or refresh the contents. Thanks so much for all the work you’ve put into this app.
  • Welcome back, old friend!

    By Neill Cohen (Pcmac user)

RSS still lives and thrives in the app! The parsing engine is fast and crisp, and the full text feature makes extra clicks to plugins unnecessary. This version does have embedded graphics, but don't detract from the text oriented interface. Love the choice of themes - the redesign is evident on the outside too! And it's not a paid subscription model :) Edit- now unusable. Verizon blocks its IP. PING shows 100% packet loss. This version now loads with my ISP. Once again, best in class!!! Hope there's an OSX version forthcoming.
  • Nice app

    By tb4apps (Pcmac user)

The app is nicely done, however the standalone rss capability I’m hopping can be improved. Using keyword search comes up nothing found quite often not sure if there’s an issue, I know it uses google news and bing, but nothing shows for google news. Is google news no long available as a search? Other then that awesome app, keep up the great work.
