Install Desktop Groups app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Desktop Groups on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Desktop Groups"
The search will reveal the Desktop Groups app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Desktop Groups is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Desktop Groups.
Now enjoy Desktop Groups on PC.

Fences for OS X almost!

I will start of by saying I love this app, I only bought it because I am a user of Stardock’s Fences for Windows on my home PC. I wanted something similar for my MacBook Pro. this app is the answer. I only have a few suggestions that would make this great. 1. You can drop files and folders into the this app but cannot add anything to folders in already in the group; this is one of the features that is missing that would make it an identical clone of fences. 2. Backup is also another good feeature to add. 3. Autosorting options would be great as well. 4. This is really a Mac only feature request if possible, different this app for each group. I would give a full five stars if only the first suggestion was implemented, anything more would knock the rating of the charts.

I love the app. Use it on several Macs. PLEASE work on the alias problem. Selecting an alias from a the app Group works sometimes but not always. It works fine on one of my macs but not all of them and they are Identical Mac minis. Only difference is the monitors. It’s a great app. Just work on that, please. Gladly pay ten times the price if that worked perfectly.
Interesting Idea

This application essentially creates clear "folders" on the the app, which really helps to quickly locate current work or files you need to access frequently. These groups are very convenient for orgnizing individual files and you can put folders into these this app. You cannot, however, drop files into embedded folders in these groups. You can only drop files or folders into the top level of the the app group. It also seems to take longer for my system to wake from sleep with these this app turned on than when the program is turned off. If you could drop files into folders as well as the top level of the this app, I think this application would be much more functional. Would also like to see the ability to sort files by name, kind, date, etc. The only advantage in the current execution is that I can easily see the files in the the app group, which you cannot do without opening a folder on the the app. Cool, but might not be worth $6.

My the app was always a mess, even when I used Windows. On that platform I used a program called Fances to organize folders and files into groups, and missed it when I changed over to Mac (best decision ever, BTW). Then I found Rico’s this app program. It was featured on Lifehacker. What a lifesaver (OK… not literally, but you get the point). The last version introduced a bug where the app would not finish loading after a restart. I worked with Rico to test a fix (which is this version). He is responsive to problems, and a great guy to work with. If you need to get your cluttered the app organized this is a great program to do it with! If you don’t like the Groups way of organizing, you can check out his other program the app Shelves on the App Store.
