  • Great with this app and others

    By Pilgrimhere (Pcmac user)

We love the creativity of this app. It is a lot of fun and we especially like the pitch training section. We had the Dust Buster app already and we tried it on "Real Piano" mode with the the app keyboard and it works great! We haven't tried it with other apps yet, but it is cool to have two options so far. The keyboard seems sturdy and we like that the iPad does not have to be physically connected to work. It is cool to have the notes CDEFGAB in raised lettering on keys that light up. That helps out a great deal with both apps. Our app works wonderfully with no problems. I don't know if this will help you guys out, but we had trouble with another one a while back from a different company and this is what was suggested. You just hold the Sleep/Wake button (the one on top by the camera) and the home button (the circle one on front with the grey square) at the same time a few seconds, slide to power off. Wait until it powers off, then hold the Sleep/Wake again to power back on. Read up on restarting it. (Don't do it during firmware updates, etc.) We only had to restart one time and have not experienced any problems since with any of our apps and it has been over a year. Hope this helps out.

I'm not sure why all of the bad reviews... I've actually never left a review before, but this app got such bad ones that I felt the need to. I had absolutely NO problems with this app whatsoever. I installed it, ran it, it linked to the keyboard with no issue, the entire menu came up and I was able to do every game with the keyboard. (And I tried it before giving it to my daughter because of the negative reviews.) I would say to anyone who has had problems...maybe uninstall and reinstall? The only issue I had was trying to figure out how to get back to the menu from each game. After I figured that out, though, no problem. My 4 and 6 year old daughters love it.
  • Terrible

There is no option here for zero stars. My wife bought this on clearance for my really 3 year old. We hooked it up to the iPod and were totally disappointed. My daughter chose a game, and it said something like "listen to the note and you have 3 options to choose the right note" If you get it wrong, the little character on the screen cringed and made a painful face at her which made her upset. This made me upset and now I feel like they hindered my daughters interest in the piano. It actually made me angry personally at the developer for being a bully to my 3 year old child. I too was hearing the whining noise from the terribly cheap speakers and hardware. I'd also not be surprised if this was made of toxic plastics. When developing learning software for children, please do some research on how children learn first.
  • Pointless

I didn't have high expectations, and even those weren't met. It was difficult for me, an adult, to use and did not always sync with the app. This is a great idea, but needs tons of improvement. For the price I hoped that it would have a basic learning program, but it is so animated that I doubt anyone could actually learn much. Was entertaining for about five minutes. My five year old, who loves music and wants to learn to play the piano, told me it was lame and told me I should return it. My four y/o watched and didn't want to try it at all. Deleting the app and returning the product. Probably would keep it if it was about $10, but not worth more than that. I used it with an iPad 2.
