1. Drag or click "+" button to import disks to "Disk Manager", and wait the import finished, then you can browse the content of the disks now.

2. 1) The detection of duplicate files will slow down the disk import speed, you can disable it from preference.

3. A： If you click other disk , then back to click the importing disk, do it for several times, you will find that the status information of the importing disk at the bottom bar changes continuously, then you will know that how many files have imported so far.

4. Import disk content to database, browse and search disk content offline anywhere anytime.

5. Find out all duplicate files on disks accurately, help to save disk space.

6. From the preferences panel of "Disk Manager" , please turn on "Duplicate file detection" option.

7. For duplicate files, there is a segment button on the top right of toolbar,please click the third one, then click the "refresh" button, if there are duplicate files, they will show in the table.

8. A: Because large number of high quality of thumbnail take a lot of disk space, you can choose to disable it or take low quality thumbnail instead from preference.

9. Provides rich query condition to easily search disk content offline.

10. After import the disk content, you can then browse&find disk content offline.

Good but still needs some improvement

I have close to a dozen external disks so this tool comes in very handy to manage them. I didn't turn on the thumb image and duplicate file function so it scans pretty fast through most of my discs. However, it completely choked on one of my My Book 1TB hard drive, progressing only a few GB after 30 min. Same results after I tried 3 times througout a week. However, my computer was reading and writing from that disc perfectly fine. Here are some improvements I would suggest: 1) For each the app scanned, it would be nice to add the total volume information besides the current file size on that disc. 2) Add a progress bar or some information while scanning as it still takes a few minutes to go through each disc so this would be helpful. 3) There doesn't seem to be a way to delete a disc from the scanned list. So the failed disc scan was creating multple items in that list and I can't delete them.
No search function

This is a nice little app but it lacks the ability to search for files. You can only browse each the app individually. Makes it hard to find things efficiently when I have 20-plus disks catalogued.
would have given it 5 stars but….

There's no user settings for selecting where it stores thumbnails. It's rapidly filling my SSD boot drive with tiny pictures I can't find or move. Other than that it's performing flawlessly. A few have complained about the speed but it's heavily dependant upon number of files on your drive. If you're trying to scan a Time Machine backup be prepared to wait a while - other than that, I'm a photographer and no 3TB drive has taken more than a minute or two to catalog.
Still NO Search Feature!

It looked like they added a search feature by the photos posted. They did not. it only sorts by name, making this app completely unusable for me.
