Top Pcmac Reviews

  • Meh, not worth the price

    By Chiefarmorer (Pcmac user)

The new visions has gorgeous pictures, but no content that is really worth it. You might want to pick one up when your army is the main focus, but otherwise just use cool mini or Dakota or bols or spikeybits or 40k radio or . . . Eventually Games Workshop will wake up and realize there is an internet.
  • Are they trying to go out of business

    By Nyjetscy (Pcmac user)

I am not a 4 year old that needs a picture book, give your readers some credibility by giving them some true content!!! Seriously GW could you have ruined this magazine any more, I used to spend a few hours taking my time reading the latest White Dwarf, making it last and enjoy it... I made it last this time... ALL OF 10 MINUTES!!! This gives you next to NO information, the battle reports which always inspired me is nonexistent! And you tout this as a new revolutionary magazine only to repeat last month and give us pretty pictures!?! I could not be more disappointed, this is NOT the magazine I subscribed to, they had better refund my subscription or if the weekly magazine is worth anything I should be able to transfer my subscription... What a joke. I don't say this lightly, but this was easily the worse idea GW has had in a long time.
  • Not what I subscribed to

    By CT_Gamer (Pcmac user)

The new Visions is most definitely NOT what I subscribed to, and I feel cheated that I was not offered a pro-rated credit for my remaining issues of White Dwarf; the magazine I did subscribe to. And technically, that magazine still exists, only now as a weekly hard copy available in stores only. If I subscribed to, say Model Railroader, but was delivered Vogue, I'd be able to get a refund, so why not here? Just because they are both GW products does not make it fair or right. It's not an issue of whether you like Visions or not (and I do not), it's the hubris of GW switching subscribers without options to a different product, and Apple letting it happen. One more nail in the coffin of my near-dead longstanding relationship with GW.
  • A poor offering

    By Roderblue (Pcmac user)

GW has swapped out my digital subscription of White Dwarf, an informative mag that looks at product releases, game rules, army features, hobby articles and more, with this poor attempt at a coffee table-style photo book. Why would that do this? And why not offer White Dwarf weekly as a digital subscription? I assume because the monthly WD had a lower price-point, so GW didn't want to give away their new marketing tool. Ever notice how GW's new policies are NEVER a benefit to their customers? If you just want to look at lots of pictures of the GW studio army up-close and cropped, this is your magazine. If you're looking for something interesting, cancel your subscription and demand better. That's what I've done.
