  • Like a long lost friend, returned! :-)

By West coast crush (Pcmac user)

I was finally reunited with my long lost friend, but MAN, has it gotten WAY BETTER over time with the help of Radiant Labs! Apps like this are very unique, particularly for those who truly appreciate all the beauty of space. I used to have one of those spinning earth apps. I bought it for ~ $45 back in … eh, well, very way back, like when I still used a windows machine, and yes, that far back. It app rotated, it showed countries, but that was about it, and I’m sure it probably still sits spinning in some cubicle somewhere, by someone who loves the 90’s. Then, a wonderful app called xQuake came along on Mac - and I absolutely loved it. It had a spinning earth map, PLUS earthquake information and weather. I don’t remember it having a full screensaver but to watch it was spectacular … and then it was discontinued. :-( Then, THIS app came along, and I've been struck with the visual appeal and simplicity of this app. The visual artistry, attention to detail, and software quality level that this app come together in this app in a fantastic visual treat and ease of use. A full nod to the people at Radiant Labs. You guys really did a fantastic job with this app. It’s limited, agreeably, but what works, works amazingly well, and that’s what separates good apps from great apps in my book. Like I said, I finally found an old friend again and I’m very glad it’s available on the most beautiful displays in the world (mac screens). :-)
  • Beautiful view of Earth but lacks features

    By Telchure (Pcmac user)

The view of Earth and it’s weather patterns is spectacular which I would give it 5 stars (right up there with OSXPlanet). Also the Weather and time widget is small and nicely placed. The only con I can see is it doesn’t have in apps purchases for Earth quakes, Hurricanes and Sun and Moon locations (aka. Earthdesk). I think Earthdesk is very good with all the features but it lack the stunning view of this app or OSXPlanet. Also if you like this you should check out Earth 3D specially on your TV monitor using AirPlay (located under Preferences-Displays).
  • Living Earth App

    By it7777 (Pcmac user)

I’ve been looking for a Weather App that was really good and when I read the reviews on this I knew that this App was for me. I wanted up to date weather and the other apps I had before were not giving me the right readings for the weather. So I saw this, got it and now I like it very much. The only thing I wish it had a place to show the radar of the weather conditions where you live but overall I’m glad that I have this now. I’m happy with it. Maybe some time in the future you guys can be able to add radar to this app to see what the conditions are in your area. Thank you for making a great App.
  • Can’t Drag Or Pause For New Point Of View

    By jimmydoodlebug (Pcmac user)

This is a weather app, and it shows clouds around the globe. But it can’t be dragged to center a particular spot on Earth, and it views the Earth from the perspective of the Northern Hemisphere. You can’t drag the globe upward to show the continent of Australia or Antarctica for example, or anywhere else in the Southern Hemisphere and you can’t set a different perspective as the one you prefer. What you have to do is select cities in those locations as your favorite cities and then the globe will turn occaisionally to those points as it spins. Also you can’t zoom in or out. Two stars off. OK but needs improvement.
