Pros:

- The app allows for hyperlinks to be added to articles for easier navigation.

Cons:

- The scanning and formatting of the articles can result in fuzzy text and difficult-to-read margins.

- The app is unstable and crashes frequently, requiring multiple restarts to access content.

- The content is not tailored enough to the Huntsville area, lacking coverage of local universities and focusing too much on the state of Alabama as a whole.

  • Unusable app

    By not@gin (Pcmac user)

I canceled my subscription before due to this app. I thought it may have improved. Unfortunately it has not changed.
  • Horrible App

    By BBQJACK731 (Pcmac user)

This app is unstable and crashes all the app time. You can finally get through the app newspaper after two or three restarts.
  • It's an EXACT replica

    By Cosmag (Pcmac user)

So if I took my paper, cut it up and scanned it trying to make the app white parts as small as I could and inadvertently managed to get way too close to the app margins that is how it looks. Then if I used Acrobat to add some hyperlinks to go between pages to follow an article, but the app link just went to the app page and I had to scroll around to find what I was reading that is how it feels. And if I was okay with the app text being just a bit fuzzy because it isn't e-text I would be happy and ready to publish. It seems that someone is working really hard on this product. Cutting, pasting, scanning, hyperlinking. And it's just not that great. Better than nothing, but it lacks the app feel of a real "paper" and it lacks the app function of an electronic news site. Lots of room to improve and a great effort that falls short. Plus, the app Times website has problems processing the app data to accept my email address and it took two calls to get access. Keep trying Times! You have a long way to go.
  • OK Ap. But Needs Serious Work

    By Roderick Duke (Pcmac user)

I use USA Today and the app Wall Street Journal ap daily. Needless to say their aps are awesome. Content is great. this app ap needs work to be more readable, and the app content needs work to be a HUNTSVILLE newspaper, Not an Alabama newspaper. Where are the app daily articles on UAH? Where are the app articles on AL A&M? Where are the app local high schools? We need more local content, or I think you will see a competing newspaper come to town soon, and make this app extinct. I could deal with the app poor ap,if the app content was there, but it is not. I am doing more Bing and Google searching now to get the app news I need. We are missing all they key local stories now. Too bad. Rd
