What is PARALLEL PLUS Bible-study app? The PARALLEL PLUS® Bible-study app is an online-only app designed for pastors, lay leaders, and others who want to gain a deeper understanding of the Scriptures. It offers up to 7 columns and over 170 versions, plus Greek and Hebrew word studies, exegetic helps, and other features to help users study the Bible more effectively.

Software Features and Description

1. EXPERIENCE IT: As you read down the column in one version, when you encounter a verse you'd like to better understand, just move your eyes left-and-right to see how other versions express that verse in its context, and then continue reading the chapter.

2. Those notes also appear automatically in your parallel Bible: each verse note, each word-study note (alongside each occurrence of the word), and each verse you translate (alongside the other columns in your parallel Bible).

3. Tap any verse, then tap “verse study” to see verse-at-a-time helps: color-coded parts-of-speech, word forms, phonetics, syllables, and translation tips.

4. Plus tap any verse to lookup Hebrew or Greek details in a verse: phonetics, parsings, parts of speech, translation tips.

5. GO DEEPER: Tap any word, then tap “word study” to see: verse lists, lexical entries, and word families.

6. SOCIAL: This app supports you in sharing the gospel with your friends right at the moment you are reading a Bible verse and thinking of someone in your life.

7. It also helps you find familiar Bible verses, even when you only remember a few words; enter "God so loved" in the search box and see where that phrase occurs in every Bible version in your parallel Bible.

8. Make notes about a verse, about a word in a word study, or your translation of a verse.

9. BIBLICAL LANGUAGES: See Hebrew and Greek in parallel with other versions.

10. Internet speeds continue to climb, so that in developed countries, performance is outstanding (for example: for those with a 200 megabit connection, Parallel Plus displays a new chapter in 1/3 second).

Best app for comparative study and use in church!

This is the app I most prefer using, especially when following along to my pastor’s sermons. Many times he will try to elaborate on a given verse by reading from multiple translations or interpretations. With this app I can set it for as many as seven different alternatives and quickly follow his moves from version to version. I used to carry a physical larger four version Bible, but this is FAR better...and on my iPad Mini 4, MUCH lighter to hold. Keep up the great work! Any chance of adding the PASSION translation (which is available for FREE on the Kindle) as another choice?

I absolutely love using the app Plus. It is an Excellent app. I have received a powerful level of spiritual truth exploring and examining from it. It is absolutely one of my most best loved Bible apps. that I use for bible study. Reading from the various levels with this the app bible gives me a far better understanding and provides me with a new insight in the study of God’s Word. I’m sure the greatness and use of this app has been demonstrated by many others all across the Universe because it provides you with a rich and rewarding study of the Bible. It is an excellent guide for studying scripture that I can read, compare and share.

I'm a full time preacher so I study every week for 2 sermons and an adult Bible class. This app is perhaps the most valuable app I have for my study. I would dare say I use it almost every day. I love seeing the passage I'm studying in four of the major translations. I love seeing New Testament passages with the Greek text. I love that this app shows me every passage where a certain Greek word is located. I love that there is a book count for where the word appears. I love that I get the other Greek words in the same family. I love that parsing is available for each word. In short I love this app and use it constantly.

I’ve been using this product (either in website or app form) for almost 10 years now, which is kind of shocking and makes me feel old. It’s an outstanding program. Easy to use, and powerful. I’ve got a decent Logos package, but still find myself using the app Plus for most things. I end up using Logos for the more recent BDAG and HALOT lexicons, which this app could absolutely not provide unless it started charging $400 per user. But I do all my ground work here. I couldn’t be happier with this thing!
