Ambi Launcher for Pc

I use this application to open other applicaiton and to quickly jump to folders that I need to access very frequently. Without this app I would have to click on the finder app and click on the quick access bar, but with this any folder is a swipe away. I have the boundaries to be very transparent black and white which I cannot even see. I know where they are and they do not clutter the screen. Over all the best and most useful app I have purchased. If you are considering this I would highly recommend it. (My nickname looks weird because I could not find one that was already taken)

I bought this app and it never worked. I contacted the developer who replied quickly. He informed me that his App only works on a single monitor setup. I use 2 monitors always and I was not about to change. This app is being sold without a warning for those who use more than a single monitor. A waste of time and money. Now to get my refund...

I'm updating my old review. For those who've sought it, we now have support for multiple displays! I've been using this latest release for about a half hour, and it works great. Of course, keep in mind that with multiple displays, you're going to lose some sides (e.g., the right side of my left monitor and the left side of my right monitor) since the mouse passes right through those. (However, if you slight offset the displays in System Preferences, you can still use a bit of each side.) From my previous review: I'm the kind of Mac user who wants fast and efficient ways to get things done, particularly in terms of launching programs. Hot corners have been among my favorite approach. I've used them with the CornerClick preference pane and with Butler. These work fine, but I never liked being limited by only corners. It always seemed to me that the screen edges were wasted real estate that could do exactly what AmbiLauncher does. My only wonder is why something like this hasn't come along sooner. I've given this program a 5-star rating with good justification. I've used Macs since 1987. I've played with literally every type of launcher shareware; I know what's out there and what works. People will certainly have their preferred styles. If this type of program attracts you, I can tell you that it's worth the investment. AmbiLauncher is fast and efficient; it has been stable; it has sensible customization options; and it has had excellent customer support. If you have any ability with Applescript (and mine is very limited), you can even create applications to work with this. For instance, I have one on the bottom left screen to play/pause iTunes. Like many old-school Mac users, I am hesitant to "buy before I try." I made this program the exception to my rule because I had so hoped it would do what I wanted. I was not disappointed, so I write this for those of you who might be uncertain. It works as described, and I believe the developer will be evolving this program.

Wow! This is such a GREAT idea it's a wonder why it is not part of the Mac OSX. If you do a lot of work with several open apps at a time, then this is the app for you. I can't believe how easy and fast it is to switch back and forth between apps or even run a script with a simple swipe of the mouse or finger. This app is much better then using Exposé. Don't be scared away by the screenshots because you can customize the size, opacity, function, time to launch, etc in Preferences from the MenuBar Icon. I have mine set to where you can't even see the colorbars, yet one swipe to the upper right side and I am working in Safari, one swipe to the lower right side and I am working in Mail etc…. Love it! For $2.99 this is one of the better deals on the app store for sure. I am happy to be the frist to review this version and give it 5 stars.
