1. The Bible reference will appear in blue and tapping the reference will open the Bible chapter with the referenced verse highlighted so that it can be read in context.

2. This upgrade provides tappable links to Bible references which appear in many definitions.

3. There are three in-app purchase options, all of which include the updated dictionary which fixes some incomplete definitions and other issues.

4. With this upgrade, the referenced word will appear in blue and tapping the word will open the definition for that word.

5. Look up word definitions from Noah Webster's 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language.

6. 1828 now has the option to purchase an updated dictionary with cross-reference links.

7. This upgrade provides tappable links to words referred to in some definitions.

A Backward Glimpse into the English Language's Evolution

My sentiments for this application are expressed precisely in every word of the review expressed by wjgold, who writes of it, "...irreplaceably useful to bridge the gap between the original meaning of words (and) the morphed changes over the decades. It is revealing to historical, societal trends, valuable for deeper understanding and very entertaining...." Looking up words in this dictionary is not the equivalent of looking up words in a current-day dictionary; it is researching the use of language and the way it was understood nearly two centuries ago, from which one can discern patterns in the evolution of language through the past 200 years. My only recommendations for this application are, foremost, a way to save favorite words/passages; a more attractive application icon (that's a petty request, I realize; neither reflect my overall rating of this very lovely application).

This is the simplest Webster’s this app Dictionary App. It now has Webster’s Bible references links to open the verses. Has several other useful inexpensive helps. It is my #1 go to KJB Bible reference, bar none. The this app defines 95% of the KJB words. Why go to the subjective “Hebrew & “Greek”?, when the word of God has been provided in the KJB text (despite claims by “scholars” that it’s not). All that is needed is a true dictionary of unfamiliar words, read what is there in context, some prayer and humility and you will receive GREAT understanding of the word of God.
Great resource with a big problem

I love using my this app as I study my King James Bible. This app makes it so easy! But, it has a major flaw. There are many words that have no definition included (such as debate, and just about every other word beginning with “deb”) and many that do not have the full definition found in Webster’s this app. Please fix these errors!
