  • Convenient, Professional, and Fast

    By City franchise (Pcmac user)

Building custom cost books and having the freedom to modify them is very convenient and has helped me adjust my prices where I need to. It has allowed me to bid competitively in various areas. Its professional looking quotes are also modifyable. That has allowed to structure my quotes how my customers request and understand them, still with a professional look and presentation. Once complete with a quote I just click email and its on the way. This has allowed for same day quotes and quick adjustments to quotes and change orders. NOW! My request is to have the PDF NCE costbooks I already own, import or integrate without me having to type in each line item. 2ND I would love an integration with quickbooks or a financial and tax report center in this app.
  • Great help in generating accurate estimates

I've been using this app for several years. I use a couple of the Craftsman Cost books to guide me with pricing when I am quoting a job that I have not previously quoted. Pretty much all of the information you need to quote accurately along with just pages full of detailed information and explanations helps you to understand what the work scope will require in way of workers and material. Great App
  • Could be lot better

    By Whozit7 (Pcmac user)

For what it is and what it does this app is just OK, especially when considering it's free. But I'd pay a heck of a lot more it it offered a heck of a lot more options. There's no way to save your estimate to as a separate file to separate folder, it's always on board the app. There's no 'undo' if you accidently delete information. There's no option(s) for font, font size, color, graphics, etc. to customize your report. The estimate accepts only once size logo and you don't have the option to place it anywhere other than the app default. There are other issues I have with the app but as I said being it's free who's complaining? I'd be willing to spend some serious bucks if this app were a professional sized appl.
  • Good solid business tool

I’ll have to say dittos to “City Franchise” The program works well and I find the only inconvenience is working with the Craftsman residential format. I still have NCE books going back 25 years…. So you’d think I got used to chasing down sub-assemblies on several descrete alphabetically arranged pages…. Nope. It still gets under my skin. But CCE creates some order out of that disbursed chaos. Regarding integration, If Intuit/QuickBooks would incorporate the NAHB Account format… Bingo. Accounting isn’t such a mystifying subject. Intuit leads the pack making the simple, deceptively complex. For now, I like Banktivity 6. I will never again pay Intuit/Quicken for patches and fixes, forced on the user, disguised as upgrades. We’re totally done.!. Kudos to Wasatch Digital Media and CCE. But don’t stop improving. The Craftsman books can be your stepping stone to a smoother system yet.
