  • not really 3D

The description makes it sound like this app has 3D models, but actually they are just 2D images. The images are nice, but most of them only have one or two views, making it difficult to get a sense of the structures in space. The layering function seems cool at first, but then wears off fast and doesn't add much to my understanding. Oh well...
  • Perfect for the non-professional and young student

This is a really nice app. Simple interface. Quality images that you can pinch and zoom. The pins work similar to Google map pins. The closer you zoom in, the more pins appear. Includes male and female for relevant systems. The "layers" button allows you to look at cut aways of parts within each system, such as seeing the the heart and then seeing a cutaway of the heart. I got this for my 7th grader. Quite comprehensive for what a middle school / high school student would probably need. Maybe not as exhaustive as some of the NOVA apps but it has enough of each system for a more affordable price.
