Spilled a softdrink on my desk. Some of it got into a platform for an attached 3 TB hard drive with important data. Didn’t realize it until a few days later. Lucky I didn’t burn the place down. After trying several other packages and concluding they were mostly scams, this one worked perfectly. I lost fewer files than I feared. Recovery is slow, but for me, worth the price. I suspect the directory had to be recreated. My Mac kept ejecting it and telling me I did it. In fact, same error with the software, but it managed to continue reading for half an hour. The alternative was to take into a dealer 30 miles away. I wouldn’t have minded, but this was better in my instance. Very pleased with it. I initially tried the free version. It didn’t do anything except tell me I had to buy the full version. As I said, it worked, I’m a happy camper at this hour.
Part of an arsenal?

I suddenly find I’m in an awkward state where I would LIKE to recover some work by file recovery. This program “saw” the files, but could not convert. I have worked with digital photography and computers in general long enough to know that not every tool will work on every situation. The trick is to gather an arsonal that you employ when you need it. This software didn’t work this time, but it might the next. Logical user layout and straight-ahead progression of tasks are fairly informative while in execution. 3 stars for what I hope it might be.

Apple should be ashamed of themselves--this software is useless and it prays upon the hope and desperation of loyal users who have lost valuable files and are willing to try anything (or spend anything) to recover them. This software specifically advertises that it can recover accidentally trashed files from an ipad yet I can't even get my ipad to show up as a viable disk to scan. I am out $50 and out hours of my time messing with a program that does not do what it states it can. This is a total disappointment and I feel completely taken advantage of. BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!

It worked like a charm to restore my deleted partition. I deleted both my main and secound partition on my hard drive when installing a clean osx. But after a few days i needed some pictures on my secondary drive that i had deleted. This software found the partition and restored allmost all the images i needed.
